My friend, you do not know anything of me, nor do you know who I am or where I come from and truly it makes no difference except that you show how resolute you are to judge with little knowledge. But let me say with all due respect, it is arrogance to believe you have the true answers to all the Bible speaks when your faith is but one in many thousands formed long after the institution of the Church by Christ. You think you can interpret Biblical prophecy but you must discredit much of the gospel to support your beliefs. No my friend, if you were as wise and “well versed” as you believe yourself to be you would not have any questions to ask in the forum. The verse I provided, like many, was direct and to the point but you as many others have a tweak interpretation to suit yourself.Please to meet you twb1621
i can see you need your priest or some one to explain what you read to you. that was just too simple for you to understand was’nt it. i guess you are surprice that you actually understood it. i bet you did not think that was possible. oh my… what will you do now? well you are responsable for it now.
Dude! What are you doing? Of all the scriptures in the bible you went and pull this one.
Now this is beyond confusion. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot…
Have you ever interpret any prophecy with out someone telling you what it is? Be honest now. Or can you interpret any prophecy for that matter? Can you show me were we are in prophetic history? Tell you what; go ask your priest were we are in prophetic history lets see if he knows?
“Unfortunately you are trying to perform astrophysics with knowledge only in algebra.” Study to show your self approved my friend. Please my friend, study these things for your self and let God show you what they mean. God will never let anyone that search for him with all their heart be misled or confused by what people say.
I recommend that you read his work with prayer and patience with a trusting heart in his clearly reviled word.
Hope to see you again.
May God bless and keep you and shine his light upon you that you may see is my prayer for you.
Here is the Biblical interpretation historically recognized;
[16] Coming: in Greek parousia, used at ⇒ 2 Peter 3:4, ⇒ 12 of the second coming of Christ. The word was used in the extrabiblical writings for the visitation of someone in authority; in Greek cult and Hellenistic Judaism it was used for the manifestation of the divine presence. That the apostles made known has been interpreted to refer to Jesus’ transfiguration (2pe ⇒ 1:17) or to his entire first coming or to his future coming in power (2 Peter 3).
10 [17] The author assures the readers of the reliability of the apostolic message (including Jesus’ power, glory, and coming; cf the note on ⇒ 2 Peter 1:16) by appeal to the transfiguration of Jesus in glory (cf ⇒ Matthew 17:1-8 and parallels) and by appeal to the prophetic message (⇒ 2 Peter 1:19; perhaps ⇒ Numbers 24:17). Here, as elsewhere, the New Testament insists on continued reminders as necessary to preserve the historical facts about Jesus and the truths of the faith; cf ⇒ 2 Peter 3:1-2; ⇒ 1 Cor 11:2; ⇒ 15:1-3. My Son, my beloved: or, “my beloved Son.”
11 [18] We: at Jesus’ transfiguration, referring to Peter, James, and John (⇒ Matthew 17:1).
12 [20-21] Often cited, along with ⇒ 2 Tim 3:16, on the “inspiration” of scripture or against private interpretation, these verses in context are directed against the false teachers of 2 Peter 2 and clever tales (⇒ 2 Peter 1:16). The prophetic word in scripture comes admittedly through human beings (⇒ 2 Peter 1:21), but moved by the holy Spirit, not from their own interpretation, and is a matter of what the author and Spirit intended, not the personal interpretation of false teachers. Instead of under the influence of God, some manuscripts read “holy ones of God.”
