I didn’t want to see a single piece of linnen ever again 🙂
Actually, I have been thinking for years about buying a linnen shirt and a hemp shirt. But I’ve never come across any for sale.

I’m not sure you read my post in the spirit it was intended.
Just because a man is unattractive in the opinion of the general public doesn’t mean he cannot make his wife blissfully … happy … in their private life. And vice versa.

A well cultured field is not that scratchy,
I like your posts very much @alice24, I really do. But on this detail, (and I have worked the fields plenty as I do every year) we couldn’t disagree more. Really, whatever you do there will be a half meter high grass every year and you’d need leather skin not to be scratched by it. And before the invention of herbicide cleaning that grass manually was a terribly labor intensive task you might have to do 3 times a year.
When you think about all the work it took just to grow one thing, it’s amazing anyone survived back then for anything.

Buying them in shops is way cheaper than ordering at tailor. I dont have much money and they hand made are just too expensive.
Because Im minor yet, I use my suit very hardly

You misunderstood me.

You need a tailor to alter what you have so it fits better - not a full bespoke suit. Tailoring also means altering. A well altered suit done by a good tailor makes a huge difference. And it need not be expensive.

There was plenty of wildlife and some of my more knowledgeable friends taught me that some grasses are edible. If you lived in a country with nice climate and fertile soil food would actually be enough to survive just wandering after the crops. They were also much more resourceful in eating anything they came across.

I agree with that observation. Interesting point about behavior and dress.

Maybe we have a different definition of scratchy 🙂 of course it’s not confortable and your legs won’t look great after, but it’s not about thorn bush infernos causing open wounds, as it is when you start making a pice of land a field. Too scratchy for my feels, yes, but my mother in law made her field work when she was younger in summer with bare legs. She simply didn’t care for the scratches as it was never dangerous.

Oh I mean when you add it all up…manual labor, crops, disease, injury…it’s amazing to me.

Thinking about it, those chores were reserved for men in my society to the best of my knowledge. I’ll have to ask how it was back then.

Come to Australia, Sun and immodest men…
We have the sun where I live Roseeurekacross, but not the immodest men.Same country, different world we live in perhaps.
Australia is wrongly labeled as you are putting it.

He was also up north in an area where you wore a lot or froze to death.

Personally if I had advantages like ripped body I wouldnt show it to public deliberately. Not only is it arousal for women, it is also also vanity and pride. The same is for women. If one has great shapes, she shouldnt put tight clothes on her deliberately to public?

I think you would really love a set of LEGO surf rescue people. Pooh would look awesome on a surfboard or in togs

Green fields I live near you! I haven’t seen an ounce of difference in secular or farm dress.

It’s up to men to maintain custody of their own eyes. And honestly, if just the sight or thought of a woman in pants gets a man so riled up…well, I think he probably could do with some spiritual guidance or therapy.

What some may call immodest men’s clothing, I’d just call embarrassing and tacky. My mom actually bought me a stylish pair of tight jeans recently. I appreciated the gift, but she didn’t know they were so ridiculous. I had to take them back for something more normal.
