Alright,May I ask then, what rules and regs are you talking about. Could you point them out to me , Specifically? Thank you. :)and  on this valentines day, Carlan
Communion should be open to all Christians for starters. Birth control.Confession, I go direct, That is just 3 of the most important ones to me.👍 Rules that do not agree with the Bible, such as Peter the first Pope., only men in authority can interperte the Bible.

Oh how she talked it over with her spiritual director and wasn’t rebuffed as here. You too. I just watched the pairs skating. I am always in awe of them because I know I couldn’t do it! 🙂
Yes, they are quite exquisite, G’night and God Bless, :)Carlan

Separated brothers who believe in the Body , Blood , Soul and Divinity of Jesus in Eucharist have the means to participate within their own Church in their own way, To do so in the Catholic Church they must be in complete communion with her. And the way to do that is through RCIA.
birth control, 6th commandment(the artificial killing of life’s eggs, leads to murder-abortion.)Read what Pius Vl says about it.
Confession,as commissioned by Christ to the Apostles Jn:21-23
Authority in faith and morals was given to Christ’s Vicar on Earth by Jesus himself, first to Peter and then to his successors… We show love, when we obey what it takes to love, Peace in Christ , :)Carlan

If I let a dog starve to death in my back yard then I have killed it. So if the egg is life then every Catholic who tries not to fertalise it kills it. the prohibition on contraception causes more abortions.

Are you suggesting people should be prolific and every egg that isn’t fertilized is taking a life, or denying a life?

No, what causes more abortion is disobedience to the Church.

What causes abortion is disobedience to the Lord.

The Catholic church teaches people to obey the Lord’s commands against murder by teaching against the murder of unborn children.

Hi MR, If you try to prevent fertalization of the egg because you do not want what you are doing to cause a babe to result, and that is not successful then, it is said, a person will more likely than not go to an abortion mill to have it destroyed. Give us understanding Father, Carlan

=tweetymom;6290009]as usual you missed the point. What did Jesus say were the most important commandements?
***Thanks for sharing that thought. Like Jesus I’m all in favor of love of NEIGHBOR as my self. But did Jesus allow, encourage, permit, tolerate false religions and religious practices? And should we Catholics?

“Love the sinner, hate the sin.” There an only be a single truth on any one issue.***

Matt.22:18 But Jesus, aware of their malice, said, "Why put me to the test, you hypocrites? **Matt.23: 13 "But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you shut the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither enter yourselves, nor allow those who would enter to go in. 15 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you traverse sea and land to make a single proselyte, and when he becomes a proselyte, you make him twice as much a child of hell as yourselves. 23 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you tithe mint and dill and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law, justice and mercy and faith; these you ought to have done, without neglecting the others. 25 **"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you cleanse the outside of the cup and of the plate, but inside they are full of extortion and rapacity. 27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.”

Love and prayers, tweetymom!

=tweetymom;6290912]Carlen, I didn’t say a word about the commandments. I was talking about all the rules and regulations thr CC has made all the dos and don’ts you sure assume a lot.🤷
***Tweetymom, beloved in Christ,

My memory is no longer good but I seem to recall awhile back explaining the “keys of the Kingdom of heaven” [Mt. 16:19] to you and sharing that at the time Jesus gave both the mandate and the necesary power to Peter to inforce and use this power in fulfilling the mandate, that the terms “bind” and “loose” had a common understanding to the Jews to whom Christ was speaking, of dealing with with “atonomous governance.”

Keys to the Kngdom of heaven was being compared to an earthy kingdom of a "fortified city "[like Jewusalem was at the time and I belief still is today] which actually had gates that were locked at night by the kings appointed “keeper of the keys” and day to day govenor of that kingdom.

It was precisely this anology Christ was making, and precisely the atonomous governing of Christ new Church, that Christ gave to Peter. The terms were so common as to be part of Jewish Law for exactly this kind of governance at the time they were spoken. ***

I share the above to ask, are you implying that a kingdom, county, church can be administered and run without laws and rules?

Love and prayers friend,
Pat

No actually my point is the opposite, Life begins at conception and there is no life before that.

I did not agree with you then and still do not. Everything needs rules. I just do not believe in what you write. Thank you and God Bless

***Hi:)

While I can’t [and don’t] disagree with your desires there are very sound and profound reasons why things are as they are. All of them having a Biblical foundation.

Jesus Himself; either explicitly: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Confession or implicitly; Holy Orders [priesthood], Marriage and the Last Rites, instituted the Seven Sacraments as a means of Special Graces in conjunction with the founding of His new Church [Mt. 16;15-19, Eph. 2:19-23] knowing that they would be needed by His “New Chosen People,”[Jn. 15:15] in order to accept fully the truth of what He taught and what He expects all of us to follow [including Confession of our sins to His priest] JOHN 20:20-23.

Many of Christ teachings are not easy to understand, accept or follow. Neverytheless, that does not factor in to what Jesus expects from us.

Catholic Holy Communion, really is Jesus Himself made present in His Now Glorified and perfected Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. We can only see Him through Faith, because His Divine Majesty is too much for us [Mt. 17: 6-7] to be able to handle.

Each of the Seven sacraments was instituted specifically for His Church and His New Chosen People. He does not withhold these graces as in making them impossible to get, BUT as is His RIGHT, Christ insist that to get them, one MUST BE A CATHOLIC.

We are reminded that One Church is God’s Will and His Hearts desire. Were He to make these heavenly gifts available to all without conditions; what need would there be for His One True Church? ***

Deut.30: 15 “See, I have set before you this day life and good, death and evil. I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live,”

Wis.16: 13 “For thou hast power over life and death;thou dost lead men down to the gates of Hades and back again.”

Consider the number of times God directly intervened to make an “impossible” birth happen. Abram and Sarah, Elezebeth [motherof John the Baptist] and Mary the Mother of Jesus just to name a few. LIFE and death issues are GOD’s decisions and nobody has the right to usurp His Divine intervention. We know factually GOD has a paln because not every unprotected union results is pregnancy.

The Road to heaven is UPHILL, BUMPY AND DIFFICULT. Was our Lords any easier?

***Mark.8: 34 And he [JESUS] called to him the multitude with his disciples, and said to them, "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow ***

Love and prayers,

Pat

Hi Pat, everything you say may be true. But all Christians use Biblical foundation. I once took a SDA Bible study. Now while I might not agree with them on everything, they used a lot of Biblical foundation too. My Bible was working overtime with them! 🙂 And at least one thing I could agree with them on is Christ as our Savior! Amen!
