Boston Public–It was disgraceful the way they just let that die and denied they were scrapping it
 
But I really miss “Early Edition”! Anyone remember that one? (And what WAS the cat’s name anyway? I know they mentioned it once!:confused: )

I loved Early Edition. Now that Kyle Chandler is on Friday Night Lights. They don’t even mention he was on that great show anymore. This year I also started watching Drive and that got cancelled. I started watching Nine and that got cancelled. One show I just loved was Pretender. They made two movies after that but nothing in a while. The guy on Desperate Housewives was on it, but he was evil. I can’t remember his name. He was missing a thumb. Anyway I have to stop getting into these shows because if they are not in the top 20 then they are out. Speaking of that Joan of Arcadia was going to get good because the guy from Prison Break was the devil and no one talks about the devil anymore so it would of been great to see how they were going to work that out. Oh well, life goes on!
 
Kyle Chandler was in another cancelled show, Homefront. It was about veterans coming back from WWII. Anyone else remember it/ like it?

Also China Beach. Anyone?

This is from Canada (CBC) but I love North of 60. Every once in a while there is a North of 60 movie. I’m waiting (and waiting) for these to come out on DVD.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Thank goodness for DVDs when I need a Buffy fix.

And just this week, it was announced Gilmore Girls’ series finale is next Tuesday. I just got into this show this season.

Animaniacs. I miss Yakko, Wakko and Dot. And Pinky and the Brain! And the OLD Batman animated series from the 90’s. Luckily they are all out on DVD. Now I just need to save some money…

I really got into Drive. I could not believe that they canceled it after only 4 episodes. They made 2 more that they will show this summer. What happened to letting a show develop? Fox made a huge mistake. This was a great show.

Just Shoot Me was one of the last sitcom’s that I watched athat was ‘actually’ funny. (Scrubs somewhat reminds me of the same humor as Just Shoot Me).

Of course all the Star Trek series’ (I don;t think they’re any new ones on tv, are they?)

I found some old VHS tapes and for the past few nights I’ve been watching Murphy Brown, and the final episode of Star Trek Deep Space Nine. I wonder are they going to make a Deep Space Nine Movie?

This was a fantasy about a cop who murders his wife’s rapist and is sent to Hell. While he’s there 103 of the most evil people in Hell escape. Satan offers the cop a second chance at life if he can send the 103 escapees back.

Obviously this is all very much theologically incorrect but the nature of the plot allowed for some great theological discussions between the characters including Satan.

It was cancelled after 13 episodes and is not available on DVD.

Great show. Bruce Campbell also has a cameo role in Spiderman 3 as the maitre-d of a fancy restaurant.
 
Isn’t it interesting that all the good shows are the ones cancelled and the junk doesn’t get booted off.:confused:

Would you agree that if a program doesn’t show instant success, it gets canned. However with cable, satellite, DVD, and such that the Network audience numbers drop every year.

I’m not crazy over Idol or any of the ‘reality shows’ but if it weren’t for those, Network TV would be, well, dead…Currently it’s on life support.
 
I don’t know if anyone remembers or would agree with me, but I liked “Covington Cross”, which only lasted a couple of months.
