Sorry Trent, but it’s a loosing battle, you just can’t win. I think the best we can do is shut our mouths, or in this case stop typing, and pray for the return of COTT for the Roman Church<-------------disclaimer Not because we do it or we preffer, but because it’s part of our ancient tradition and truly is one of more reverence when it comes to action and posture. And I ask this of everyone who wishes for this practice to return and perhaps even receive a little of our Catholic identitiy back.
Probably so. Especially prayers of reparation.

I posted the link to H.E. Cardinal Canizares’ statements as a glimmer of hope for traditionalists who hope to see a return to a more reverant attitude from the faithful, and in the Mass. I expected the usual suspects to crawl out from their respective holes and begin blasting away at the possible return of "t"radtional forms of reverence toward the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of our Most Holy Lord Jesus Christ!
What pains me is that any attempt to return a level of sacredness to Holy Mass is recieved by some as an attempt to return to the dark ages. Have we as a church become so pridefull and self absorbed that we fail to recognize the errors that have befallen our Church in the past fifty years? Have we as Catholics become so dumbed down as to really want the weak, sometimes more protestant than Catholic forms of Mass that are so prevelant now?
The westernization of the Church is going to destroy many Parishes and cause the loss of many Souls. The current crisis in the Church will make the Arian crisis seem like a minor disagreement in comparison.

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.

The enemy never rests. Sometimes we have to be patient with those who don’t realize what is going on because what they know today is all they know. Just like so many priests don’t know either because they have never been tought. But for Christ sake we have a few leaders who realizes what is really happened here but are also overwhelmed by the crowd and I can see them speak very carefully. They don’t have to tell us word for word but by just listen to them, we have an idea what they really wants us to do. It is up to us to listen with the spirit to perceive what they are really saying. May God gives them courage and Grace to succeed.

No one does anything wrong by receiving CITH at this time.

But how come the authority of the Church wasn’t enough when Rome said no ? On whose authority did those people have a right to do as they pleased ?
You’d have to ask the people who did it in disobedience.

See what I mean?
Read the whole of my posts.

Yeah, I saw that “same old, same old.” Not terribly sympathetic because it isn’t grounded in reality. Slome traditionalists come to this forum for information, either to find out more about the faith, or to share more about the faith. BUT…some “traditionalists” seem to think that the Traditionalist Forum is a place where they can post insulting and inaccurate statements about the post-conciliar Church, in which many faithful, orthodox, and reverent Catholics have made their lives. When they get answered, they pull a persecuted, martyr’s complex ("See, we’re being picked on just for being “traditional!” They’re not…they’re being corrected for factual mistakes or for being insulting). Why there is a need for their own forum, I dunno, since they did the same thing before they got one. I stand by my statement that you quoted. What I was responding to was an example of ignorance, and given its tone, quite bellicose. Further, I can prove the factual part of what I wrote. Truth is never insulting except to those who can’t stand it.

Excellent example of what I mean: “The enemy.”
