I think we need to ask the following question first:
Julianna, do you disagree with the GSA on matters of contraception/SSA/abortion? Maybe I’m wrong, but I’m sensing you do not.
Funny thing is, it never came up as a topic of discussion when my daughter was a GS, because it was Catholic School/parish sponsored, I wouldn’t expect it to.
I disagree with alot of things that people espouse. We don’t have a Borg mentality when it comes to humanity.
Since I saw no evidence when my daughter was in scouting of contraception/SSA/abortion, I have no comment. If the subject came up during that time, I am sure Sister Veronica and Father Oleksak would have a talk with the troop leader.
To ease your mind.
chemical birth control is poison (my opinion). The side effects are horrendous.
SSA, it happens, it exists, I have 4 sets of gay men in my neighborhood, all who bought GS cookies from my daughter. They work, pay taxes, keep to themselves, and I have yet to see one of them in a pink tu-tu mowing their lawn. If I were invited to a bbq at their home, I would attend.
abortion is…legal in the US. Change comes from within not from without in. I had the chance on a few occasions to counsel girls, including my own daughter who became pregnant as a teen. Yes, there were girls who said they were going to get an abortion. My daughter, absolutely not. She gave LIFE to the child and placed him for adoption, chose the family (a Catholic family), thereby giving him QUALITY of life, her friends, had their babies, some were placed for adoption, others married and another friend, with the help of her parents are raising the child. So I guess this feminist relativist (as I am often called on CAF), saved several children (from within). One would then conclude that I am pro life, now wouldn’t one?
I don’t live in a cave, I live in the real world with all it’s sham and drudgery, it is still a beautiful world.
