One or two people don’t play nice means that others don’t play nice? Would you indict the entire Catholic priesthood for the sins of a small percentage of them?
Please note I said apparently has been lost on some of the Hollywood celebs. While I do realize this does encompass a huge part of Obama’s support,I also realize this is not an indictment of all of his supporters.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

And the Cardinal’s plea isn’t lost by Romney, Donald Trump, Rick Santorum and other republicans?

I think he was addressing both sides, but mostly the candidates themselves who have both run nasty attack ads.

Jim
By comparison,no the liberal left by and large is more prone to getting nasty, there I said it!:eek:🤷;)😃

What’s a “dog whistle strategy?”
A coded “dog-whistle” language in political campaigning is delivering one message to the overall electorate while at the same time delivering quite a different message to a targeted political base.
You know so much, thought you’d know that one, it’s been around a while!

Thank you for the compliment, but no, I’d never heard of the term. What is the “dog-whistle” language you hear being used by the Republican Party? How about the Democratic Party? I’m assuming you believe both sides use this tactic.

That’s your opinion, but if you look at the past year with every GOP presidential candidate attacking Obama, and not each other, it doesn’t add up.

Heck there’s been nastiness from the right all through Obama’s presidency, from the 3rd week in office when Mitch McConnell on the senate floor announced that the goal of all republicans is to make this a one term president.

There is nastiness from both sides, but to ignore what Obama has endured, is really showing a bias.

One hidden phrase out of Romney recently characterized the President as foreign and it has a very clear meaning to some.

Why is is nasty for Mitch McConnell to endeavor to make Obama a one term president:confused: As far as nasty comments by the left I am referring to the Bill Mahars,Ed Schultz ,Debbie Wasserman ,Nancy Pelosi, just to name a few.I have NEVER hears such vile comments ,as they have made from any Republican, politician or pundit.

Well, the president just took office, don’t you think McConnell could’ve at least given him a chance ?

Anyway, have it as you will.

I’m taking a fast from this forum until after the election, unless some major news even takes place.

Well said regarding McConnell…regarding your exit, I understand completely, but I must hang in a bit longer to combat some of the nonsense being presented as fact.

Hope to see you soon…if not…be well.

John

Really? What hidden phrase is that? You must have been the target, since you heard it. 😛

He is quoting a term Jonah Goldberg used when deriding the Democracy hysteria about a joke Romney made about his Birth certificate

Given him a chance for what? To insatiate an agenda that was clearly harmful to the country? in hindsight McConnel was 100% right.

So you don’t get that one, how about this from a couple of days ago your guy said to a Michigan crowd that he and his wife were born in Michigan hospitals,so no question there about where they were born, not an exact quote but like it. Getting the idea yet rig?

Is that the “dog whistle language” Carlan is talking about? 😛

Democrats crack me up. They can’t win in policy debates, so they have to go with Chris Matthews style hysterics.

Pretty funny joke. Almost as good as the observation that Romneys dog rides on the roof of his car, Obamas dog rides on the roof of his mouth.

No joke there Mr, Romney was winking at your right wing mates.
If that was a joke, then Romney needs to stick to serious matters…at all time…especially in public…Better yet, use a teleprompter.
