That’s actually really coolIt’s still the norm at my local Cathedral… at all 4 daily Masses and all 7 Sunday Masses. Those who wish to receive standing process down the centre aisle. Those who wish to receive kneeling at the altar rail process down either side. I would say it’s about 50/50 at all Masses. Been like that as far back as I remember, under at least the last two archbishops. Maybe it never changed after the council here… not sure.
