Catholic and Democrat in US

the argument won’t be accepted by a pro abort so I don’t think it’s a good one for pro lifers to use.
I agree the pro abortion people do not admit it, and even argue that it is not true, which is also why regret or PTSD has not stopped the movement.

I’m not sure if I would say it shouldn’t be used but I agree it certainly is not the best nor the only argument.

It is something we as Catholics need to keep in mind though as we need to be ready to minister and help post abort women find the help and forgiveness they need and desire, help them find their way to the confessional, where healing starts.

They can’t argue that human life begins at conception. They can try to say it’s not a person, and not worthy of protection, but have to accept the basic point.

In the case of regret they can look at info, see that it doesn’t agree and decide we’re dishonest.

I do see that we should display our concern for the women though.

I completely disagree with you. I have been running my accounting business for 27 years now.

Your statement of “nearly every business or farm loan” is nonsense.
I’m sorry. But you don’t do lender closings. I do. I go through the important aspects of the loan with the borrower and the lender together. I understand lender terms and explain them fully. That’s one of the reasons lenders and borrowers like to use my services.

I explain “balloon” payments at least once/week, probably more. The last time was this past Friday.

Great, I am glad you do a good job.

You close for a select group of lenders and see certain types of loans. This in no way equates to nearly all loans or loan types.

I close for a great number of lenders; some local, some nationwide. Some, like FSA, FCS, SBA are governmental. Most are banks. Some are mortgage companies. Now and then an insurance company making direct loans.

I see all kinds of loans. I never said “all loans” or “loan types” have balloons, but most non-governmental commercial and farm loans do.

And “balloon payment” loans are as common as dirt. Nearly every business or farm loan has a balloon feature. And in both there are “events of default” that can be interpreted adversely.

Lets see. Nearly every. Pretty close to saying all.

I am not going to go through this. You were wrong on the bankruptcy, and are overstating frequency of balloon loans.

None of this has anything to do with this thread topic.

Let’s all hope and pray that Trump is not re-elected. He has been so…
No. Will not.
No problem, my family will do double time.

Also, even if this is true (the majority of women experience regret but don’t admit it) the argument won’t be accepted by a pro abort so I don’t think it’s a good one for pro lifers to use.
I’ve never met a pro-abort… where are all of these people who love abortion?

Anybody who thinks abortion should be legal.
I think that is too broad. I know of many people who wish abortion would end, but allow that there are exceptions; like President Trump’s position which exceptions for incest, rape and safety of the mother.

Besides “life of the mother” I find this stance incoherent when broken down; No different from pro-choicers who allow abortion “up to a certain point.”

If that is a person, you can’t kill them because someone else committed rape or incest in the past.
Similarly, if abortion is wrong at any point, you have to tell us what turns a life into a person worthy of legal protection.

I agree with you. My point though is that I haven’t met people who are pro-abortion, as in people who are saying that “abortion is great, we should definitely have more.”

Listen to the radical feminists and liberal politicians, you’ll hear it.

They disguise it under the name “women’s healthcare”.

If you know somebody who claims that they are pro choice but not pro abortion ask them if they are pro blood transfusions (or some other actual medical treatment), and see what they say. I’d expect the answer to be yes.

Could you explain what you mean here? I’m failing to see the point you’re making. Thanks.

Simple. Most people who say they are not pro abortion say it’s because they don’t want abortion. I’m sure that they also wish nobody needed a blood transfusion but would have no problem with people saying they were pro blood transfusion. So why do they have a problem with being called pro abortion?

Ok, sorry I completely missed the association…I need more coffee! 😂

I may be missing your point also but there is a difference between blood, which yes has life, and a human being that has life and blood in him.

??. I question what you are meaning here.

I’m basically getting at why pro aborts don’t like being called pro abortion? If they really saw it as just a medical treatment they would have no problem being called pro abortion.
