Oh I kinda agree with you here about some who became Priests having a hidden agenda, mainly they were homosexual and wanted to be in those positions.
Paedophiles don’t only apply for these positions,(Priests} they apply as teachers, social workers, etc; here the vetting procedures were supposed to be tightened up, I hope thats true.

No one slams the public schools when a teacher is involved in a scandal. No one slams the medical profession if a doctor molests a patient. But when it comes to the Church, then they’re must be something inherently wrong with it because it has a few perverted priests?

What more would you expect from the anti-Catholic media we have in this country. Unfortunately Cardinal Mahoney seems to court controversy and makes it easy for the likes of Dave Fanning to have a go. It’s not his first and won’t be his last. He does a good job at showing his ignorance though

Grace Angel , You should follow the news from Queensland , Because the Premier is going to issue an apology to victims of abuse , Who were put into adult mental hospitals as children , Even when this is brought to light you will still live in denial , feargalmac ignorance is bliss for people who dont want to hear the truth or refuse to believe the truth , And while you are at it you could ask the leadership of the church , Why no one wants to deal with the case of Kathy Fergurson , Who was abducted from England by a Catholic nuns order , If you want to live in denial it is your right , Removing this post will not stop the truth coming out , But it will help people live in denial yours michael mcmanus

Dreadful issue, but it is meaningless in the Great Design of the Holy Church. Sin upon the souls of individuals, but persecution only heaps glory onto the Church.

So because of the actions of sinners, and thats you and me the Church can’t be Holy ?
Because of the actions of Judas, Jesus wasn’t Holy ?
You have to understand the Catholic Church is both human and Divine just like Jesus, He was human as well as Divine.
But while we have earthly fathers and mothers Jesus as you know didn’t, He had no sin.
The human part of our Church is run by sinners, it was the Divine that laid the foundation stone, and that person was Jesus who was Holy.
No one is burying there head in the sand, but there have been cases taken against not only Priests, but teachers, social works, doctors, and some of them were found NOT GUILTY.
I hope your not advocating trial by media, you make me think you know everything there is to know about those who abused, or those who are alleged to have abused. ( do you ) ?
If you know anything, bring it to the law and let the law deal with it, if that don’t suffice then I don’t know what will.
If you have proof of someone covering up, then bring that to light as-well.
If you don’t have enough evidence then your wasting your time and money.
The Catholic Church has paid out millions, but you want blood, and posting this stuff on the week of the Divine Mercy Novena ???
I wish I was in your shoes michaelmac, you don’t seem to desire or want to show Mercy, you keep harping away at the same old banter, Ferns,Ferns,Ferns.
You seem to be the only person that has ever suffered in your life, I could write you a book on suffering, like 30 years of torture for my family and myself at the hands of a drunken father, (with no protection from the police, social workers or even joe bloggs ) but not a day goes by that I don’t pray for him.
Grow up michaelmac, you don’t have a monopoly on suffering, on this week of Divine Mercy Jesus said we must include deeds of Mercy, I hope we do.
And let those that have no sin cast the first stone.

Grace Angel, Do not assume , Things you know nothing about , I do lots of things that have nothing to do with the church, ,Clinton or Bush are not Catholics and i have attacked them both because neither gave a rip about the welfare of children , And this was about abuse in the home , Have been arrested to protect two girls , I just dont write about abuse I do some thing about it , I try to get justice for people where ever they have been abused
