Sigh…I cannot in good conscience vote for any of the current candidates and as such,I’ll write-in my name once again. I know absolutely nothing about running this country, but i’m honest and that’s what America needs in office.

I will feel sorry for those poor old ladies down at the polls; apparently when you do a write-in it involves a lot of paperwork on their end; no wonder they cringe when they see me walk through the door and this year i’m expecting at least 6 or 7 votes. Btw, my concession speech will be a real doozy. 🙂

Per the Washington Post / ABC News poll, Trump has now pulled ahead of Clinton slightly among registered voters. They buried it deep in the article out of shock and horror, but:
At this point, the two candidates are in a statistical dead heat among registered voters, with Trump favored by 46 percent and Clinton favored by 44 percent. That represents an 11-point shift toward the presumptive Republican nominee since March. Among all adults, Clinton holds a six-point lead (48 percent to 42 percent), down from 18 points in March.

Exactly, Hillary can’t fill a High School gym.

It’s far from a certainty, but it’s possible that the Powers That Be within the Democrat party could decide to dump Hillary, if Bernie continues his successes in the primaries and The Donald continues to rise in the polls. There are factions within the DP that have very different views of whom will be able to win, and if she can’t finish Bernie, and she takes a further drop in the polls, someone (probably Obama) will have a talk with her and suggest that her nagging cough could be more serious than she thought and that she should just withdraw.

There are other factions that see Hillary as The One (or The New One), and are Clintonites through and through (coughDebbie WassermanSchultzcough) and/or feel it is the time in history for A Woman to become president (as opposed to, say, a Jew), and will fight tooth and claw to avoid her being told to step down. But what the Party provides, the Party can take away - including Super-delegates.

The question would then become, would they necessarily support Bernie? I personally think he is the most electable of all the Democrat candidates (but don’t think he would win in a battle with Trump, although it would be close). Would they go for a Biden/Warren ticket, which Obama may prefer as his heir-apparent ticket?

Gonna be an interesting summer.

Yea, I think they could get behind bernie if it meant keeping control of the WH. Bernie doesn’t have a base of elected support, so he’ll need to align with the party to get stuff done. There is no Tea Party movement putting people into House and Senate seats.

If Obama want’s it to happen, he’ll just push her over the edge with some nominal charges by the DOJ.

Most people from both parties lust to raise taxes on billionaires. I think it’s funny how many people are jealous and hate Trump because he had some financial success living the American Dream, yet those same people love Obama who failed to pass legislation to raise taxes on billionaires despite having the planets align perfectly for the first time in decades: a democratic President, a democratic senate majority and a democratic House majority. What democrat would dare to vote against this legislation?? They didn’t even need any republican support. The facts don’t lie, but it’s like people will only believe it if they hear it in the mainstream media, and since the media doesn’t report it, you can bet people will still attempt to deny it. Unreal. GE had 14 billion dollars in revenues and paid zero dollars in taxes under Obama, yet people will stick to their emotional and illogical positions despite the political reality. We can’t have a planned society by brute force. The billionaires who have owned the politicians must crush small business first.

Most Holy Trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - I adore thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference’s whereby He is offended. And through the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners.

“Let this prayer be echoed all over the world.” - Mary

President John Kerry was ahead of George W Bush in May too. But then of course the President of the United States isn’t elected by popular vote either. Ask President Al Gore and 5 Republican SCOTUS justices at the time.

I also don’t understand the point of the pictures being posted here. I’ve only attended one Presidential primary campaign event where the actual candidate was present. That being for Jimmy Carter 4 decades ago. Yet I’ve never missed a vote. Funny how that works.

Actually, you need to ask the US Constitution on that. National polls are pretty much meaningless. All that matters is how each candidate does in each state because we elect our president based on number of electoral votes, not popular vote.

In case you were unaware, Kerry and Gore are not past Presidents of the United States.

Oh I’m aware. I was just making sure others were and that they understand as you said that national polls matter less than the Electoral College. And not saying the ones here haven’t, but some of the Trump voters as I understand it haven’t always participated in the process.

Oddly, the only one of the two leading candidates who really is likely to raise taxes on billionaires is Trump. He doesn’t owe other fabulously wealthy people anything, whereas Hillary sure does.

Besides the logical fallacy that truth is a matter of consensus, I propose that there is very little lack of consensus among all of Christendom that abortion is the taking of an innocent life. There is only lack of consensus on whether such taking of innocent human life should be illegal. Personally, I question the faith of anyone where convenience is elevated over life. I agree abortion is not the only topic, but anyone who thinks taking life can be acceptable does not follow the the teaching of Jesus who said such people deserve a millstone tied around their neck and that they be cast into the sea.

It is not theology but sin that has cause Christian diversity in this area.
👍

And I think he would do it in a way that is reasonable, unlike Bernie.
As many have admitted, they can pay more. However you don’t want to stifle investment or push the rich to change their nationality, like in France.

I don’t know that anyone other than Bernie Sanders is suggesting that kind of taxation. To me, the most worrisome, though, is Hillary Clinton. Like Obama, she is more likely to do it for revenue raising, imposing more taxes on the middle class, which is where the big money really is because there are so many more of them.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls. Amen

Sorry but I don’t mix all those issues into one bowl. There is much more consensus today in regard to slavery and rape and many other issues you wish to throw into the fruit bowl. With regard to abortion there is much less consensus. Even among Christians.
I’ll believe that the “pro-life” movement actually thinks abortion is murder when they start advocating for women who have an abortion to be prosecuted and then thrown in jail for life or executed. Until that day, it remains a movement based on rhetoric and not principal.

Just an excuse to support abortionists, and a lame one.

Failure to prosecute women who have abortions does not imply that abortion is somehow okay, or that those who want it abolished don’t value human life. For goodness sake, some of the Popes have called for the abolition of capital punishment for horrific crimes, so I guess that means those Popes don’t consider the crimes heinous all the same?

Just doesn’t work.

I guess I’m lucky that I live in a state where the outcome is an absolutely foregone conclusion, so I can merrily vote third party or write-in with no qualms whatsoever. I wouldn’t vote for either candidate if my life depended on it.

Who is the third party candidate?
