Who is running? Is it a platform that is Catholic enough. Is the person a noble and holy person? Not all have been chosen at this time. The Libertarian Party Convention is next week.

About the only thing a third party can accomplish is to put Hillary in the White House and succeed in granting liberals their greatest desire - packing the Supreme Court. Hillary could only do so much damage in 4 years; a liberal Supreme Court will change this nation in ways that are beyond belief, and for the next 40 years, if not in perpetuity.I am thinking 3rd Party presently. I am very interested in the American Solidarity Party. I’ll be keeping an eye on who they come up with. Their platform hits a lot of marks for me. Progressive and pro-life!

I’m in a similar situation as you.I guess I’m lucky that I live in a state where the outcome is an absolutely foregone conclusion, so I can merrily vote third party or write-in with no qualms whatsoever. I wouldn’t vote for either candidate if my life depended on it.
Better to fear it if he doesn’t. The rioters are leftists, many hired by left wing organizations, not Trumpers. All the violent clashes at the Trump rally’s makes me fear a civil war if he wins. .
Regardless, it’s crying to divide a nation and civil war.Better to fear it if he doesn’t. The rioters are leftists, many hired by left wing organizations, not Trumpers.
And I’ll believe that pro-abortion people believe rape is a moral reason to end the life of the offspring of such an act, when they start advocating for women to have the right to kill any man they accuse of rape, without a trial or legal process.I’ll believe that the “pro-life” movement actually thinks abortion is murder when they start advocating for women who have an abortion to be prosecuted and then thrown in jail for life or executed. Until that day, it remains a movement based on rhetoric and not principal.
One of my children’s favorite book is, “Strega Nona” by Tommie DePaula. The moral of the story is that the punishment should be just. I hope more people look for just punishments. And I’ll believe that pro-abortion people believe rape is a moral reason to end the life of the offspring of such an act, when they start advocating for women to have the right to kill any man they accuse of rape, without a trial or legal process.
There is always a list of names on my ballot besides the D and R.Who is the third party candidate?
Or at least when they advocate for at least some kind of punishment for being an accomplice or an accessory to what they call “murder”. I think Trump actually did on MSNBC in his interview with Chris Matthews just briefly until he left the set and someone told him not to do that.I’ll believe that the “pro-life” movement actually thinks abortion is murder when they start advocating for women who have an abortion to be prosecuted and then thrown in jail for life or executed. No call to mock Catholic teaching. To the Church it is murder, not “what they call ‘murder’”. All posters on CAF are guests, particularly those who are not Catholic. It’s one thing even to argue one’s own church’s position as opposed to that of the Catholic Church, and acknowledge that’s what one is doing. But it’s quite another to mock the Church on a Catholic site.Or at least when they advocate for at least some kind of punishment for being an accomplice or an accessory to what they call “murder”. I think Trump actually did on MSNBC in his interview with Chris Matthews just briefly until he left the set and someone told him not to do that.
As I mentioned in response to another’s post, the Catholic Church teaches that abortion is the murder of a human being. Saying the above is saying the Church is not believable until it starts calling for the criminal prosecution of women. It is saying the Church lacks “principal” (principle)I’ll believe that the “pro-life” movement actually thinks abortion is murder when they start advocating for women who have an abortion to be prosecuted and then thrown in jail for life or executed. Neither Little Sheep nor I mocked Catholic teaching. Catholic teaching calls abortion murder because yes, indeed it is what the faith believes and teaches. That’s merely stating what the Catholic faith believes and teaches. As I mentioned in response to another’s post, the Catholic Church teaches that abortion is the murder of a human being. All on here are guests. And non-Catholics are particularly expected to conduct themselves as such. One doesn’t go into someone’s living room as a guest and start making fun of the décor, the children, or the host family’s religion most of all.
The words speak for themselves.Neither Little Sheep nor I mocked Catholic teaching. Catholic teaching calls abortion murder because yes, indeed it is what the faith believes and teaches. That’s merely stating what the Catholic faith believes and teaches.
I agree. The Catholic Church calls abortion “murder” because it is what the CC believes and teaches. The CC wouldn’t call it something else. The same with the Eucharist. The CC calls it the Body and Blood of Christ instead of a symbol or merely a spiritual presence because the Body and Blood is what the CC believes it is. Actually on that, Little Sheep’s church calls it the same because it is what TEC officially believes too. Granted I understand there are nuances between the 2 and the Catholic Church doesn’t agree TEC’s Eucharist is valid. But the point and fact is churches call things based on what they believe and teach something is. A member of the UCC for instance wouldn’t call their communion the body and blood. It works the same with abortion or any subject for that matter. If another faith community doesn’t believe or teach that abortion is murder, then they wouldn’t call it “murder”. The CC however does. And does so because it precisely is what they believe and teach. I don’t know. Maybe you simply read more into our posts than what was there or meant. That can happen I know sometimes though on the internet when we can’t hear tones. Hope that helps! Peace. The words speak for themselves.
Not sure yet.Who is the third party candidate?
Which one is the " third" party? How does one dicern those people and know thier stances and character it marital history and financial history? There is always a list of names on my ballot besides the D and R.
Thanks for that link. How wonderfully written and full of common sense. Fr. and I could have a good chat (read my first post on my new blog…)I’m in a similar situation as you.
I sometimes read Father Longenecker. I found this blog post put me a bit more at ease.
