Maybe Hillary could ride down on her Harley and bond with Rolling Thunder like Donald. It is clear, however, that Democrats are no longer mocking Mr. Trump. Many of them seem determined instead to understand his appeal.
As you are well aware, all that matters is how well the candidates are doing in the swing states. This is a ‘national’ poll in a sense. But it is CAF. I don’t think there would be many who have been here long enough who would expect Hillary Clinton or most any Democratic candidate for President to win a CAF poll. I’ve gone back to search 4 yrs ago and Romney crushed Obama here. So if the Republican nominee is having a hard time breaking even 50% here, I’m not sure that bodes well for Trump.
While I do believe at this point in the election cycle that Trump has a better than 50/50 probability of winning the election this fall (mostly because his opponent is Clinton - not because of Trump), I do think the Republican base is changing, and not for the better. The social conservative base has not grown much over the years, and has probably eroded - not necessarily because they are no longer voting, but because people no longer aspire to conservative Christian principles as they once did.Americans are flocking in unprecedented numbers to support Donald Trump. Democrats could be facing the largest wave of Republican turnout ever this November. And well the Democrat turnout is lower than usual. May change when Bernie wins Calif.
The contrast is stunning, Trump being supported at a very patriotic event vs Obama bending over and apologizing in Japan.Hillary is experiencing the same issues others have running against Trump. And thats aside from issues with Bernie who is hanging around till the last vote.

Yes, it is like a national poll. If I recall, Trump fared poorly in earlier polls on this site, so this one reflects the shift in support that has secured him the nomination. As you are well aware, all that matters is how well the candidates are doing in the swing states. This is a ‘national’ poll in a sense.
I have a slightly different view as a former liberal democrat, it takes time to think with the mind of the Church. And what for sure is true in these periods of political drama, we need to slow down, respect each other and listen. In times, apparently by this method we have strange partnerships also. Pretty clear with Rolling Thunder and the guys. They “never” thought they would be here defending Pro-Life a few years ago. Its just the logical thing to do.I do think the Republican base is changing, and not for the better. The social conservative base has not grown much over the years, and has probably eroded - not necessarily because they are no longer voting, but because people no longer aspire to conservative Christian principles as they once did.
But is he a friend of the Church?A vote for anyone but Trump is a vote for the enemies of the Church at this point. Sad to say but it is undeniably true.
There it is, something to think about, is Hillary? Nooooo!!! Its easy as a Democrat or Republican to suggest never Donald or Hillary but it seems to be rather narrow minded in both cases and more of an appeal to the immediate spectacular drama in some form of dire plead… I don’t know, I haven’t gave it a great deal of thought but it seems rather counterproductive and divisive. Who started this pettiness the democrats? But is he a friend of the Church?

It’ ridiculous. Who said either were the friend of the Catholic Church. But I do know that the Bible is Trump’s favorite book. I doubt if Hillary could say that. There it is, something to think about, is Hillary? Nooooo!!! That is too bad. I will not vote for Gary Johnson. Being pro-life is consistent with libertarian values because it protects the right to life. This says Gary Johnson is expected to be the nominee tomorrow. But not sure about his VP. Johnson was on CNN today though saying Libertarians are for small govt like the Republicans but are pro choice and pro SSM.

Trump is a friend of Christianity. He will defend it from the New World Order. But is he a friend of the Church?
We are here to help them form their conscience, a difficult task when in truth your priority is all about yourself. I know, and even if your the most humble perosn in the world. or most radical. It’ ridiculous. Who said either were the friend of the Catholic Church. But I do know that the Bible is Trump’s favorite book. I doubt if Hillary could say that.
Yes and I’d rather be Hillary Clinton at this pt.As you are well aware, all that matters is how well the candidates are doing in the swing states. This is a ‘national’ poll in a sense.

One must distinguish between libertarian values and the Libertarian Party’s values. The Libertarian Party is pro-abortion.That is too bad. I will not vote for Gary Johnson. Being pro-life is consistent with libertarian values because it protects the right to life.
It is probably more accurate to say that Clinton is not a friend of Christianity. I have my doubts about how friendly Mr. Trump is to Christianity. Yet he has shown an olive branch to Christians which is more than what you can say about Mrs. Clinton.Trump is a friend of Christianity. He will defend it from the New World Order.
I don’t about that. The main page has it as more of a toss up than you suggest:Yes and I’d rather be Hillary Clinton at this pt.
As of 4 days ago, The Cook Report has her at over 300 electoral votes.

An earlier map by U of VA Center for Politics, Larry Sabato had her with even more.

Even a consensus map of 5 pundits shows she only needs 17 electoral votes from tossups.

…Is there a path for Trump to move from his Manhattan Penthouse to the WH? Of course. But a narrow one where nearly everything must fall almost perfectly into place for him with little room for error or gaffes along the way. Possible? Yes. How probable is another question entirely.
Mrs Clinton is a lifelong practicing United Methodist . A source please pointing to where your church now says the UMC is not Christian. Or has it stopped accepting baptisms performed in the UMC?One must distinguish between libertarian values and the Libertarian Party’s values. The Libertarian Party is pro-abortion.

Many people do realize. Abortion is a grave injustice. Without the right to life, all other rights do not matter.I would disagree with this. It seems to me that there are those who do not believe it is possible for Catholics with well-formed consciences to draw another conclusion from Church teaching than one that centers entirely around abortion. I guess I would encourage everyone, even those with strongly held convictions, to re-read the relevant Church documents and ask themselves what they are actually saying and how to apply that to voting in this election.
You misunderstood my post. I didn’t mean to imply that Mrs. Clinton doesn’t practice a form of Christianity.Mrs Clinton is a lifelong practicing United Methodist . A source please pointing to where your church now says the UMC is not Christian. Or has it stopped accepting baptisms performed in the UMC?
