Hey 9choirs, I recommend reading up on what the CDC releases, and why (aka is it new scientific studies, new leaders, new political pressure). You have access to a lot of rich info out there, whether you prefer pure scientific findings, statistical data, conclusions, money changing hands, what have you.

To think that only samples of condoms are tested and not the whole batch. All it takes is one condom used by a person whose partner has HIV, and you know what the probable outcome is…

And not to forget that condoms only protect a part of the area in contact with another persons genitalia, leaving people vulnerable to STD’s which can spread by skin to skin contact

I agree i just cant get my head round this issue.

i feel drawn to the catholic church but this contraception lark is a stumbling block for me.

You have lots of company, especially in the Catholic laity. If you can get past this stumbling block, no one or nothing will be able to keep you out of the Catholic Church.

Burdock, don’t let your struggle with certain doctrines keep you from the Church. Many people struggle at times. It is far better to get the main portion and fill in the details later.
