I received a 94% and I am 25 years old. My favorite hymn really is Immaculate Mary.
 
I think the above question is misleading.

Whats a progressive catholic?

Whats the difference between a neo-traditionalist and a simple “traditionalist”?

As far as a liberal catholic you should just name it what it is, a protestant that happens to call himself a catholic.

78 neo-catholic and I’ve only been Catholic since Easter Vigil.
 
95 - Traditional Catholic. I didn’t like the way some of the questions were worded, though.

I’m only giving the answers form the faulty quiz.
 
As an Eastern Catholic I couldn’t honestly answer some of the questions and the more traditional answer from our perspective would not have been the traditionalist answer. Still I scored 80 but believe myself to be strongly traditionalist but not Latin traditionalist.

I scored a 78 … Neo-Traditionalist.

Somehow I just have a problem with this definition. For its because I am a plane traditionalist that I believe in the changes since Vatican II.

Its because I’m a traditionalist that I believe the Popes since vatincan II.

Its what you call “traditionalist” which are the rebels against the church and its doctrines they should be the neo- traditionalist. As they believe in old tradtions, but accept only as they desire.

by the way Quintero… Catholics ARE orthodox by definiition. Even though they are not Orthodox (capital O).
 
Oops… I put traditionalist… I meant Neo-Traditionalist.

I only got an 86 – but my sons love Immaculate Mary. I can not be identified by one song or prayer – although I find I am traditiioanlist that I thought. Wow, cool! Although, I am not giving my age.
 
The scores don’t mean a thing when it comes to holiness or sinfulness. I scored a 92- Traditionalist Catholic. (I like tradition, and want it to be respected- I also respect the power of the Pope to change the liturgy whenever and for whatever reason he pleases, and I respect that the Novus Ordo has opened doors to Catholicism for many people that may not have been opened otherwise).

Yep. I like Mass said Ad Orientem, Latin, and communion rails- all of that. Vatican II never abrogated those things. I wouldn’t want the Latin forced on everyone though- the vernacular has helped converts see what the Mass is.

Yep. Pope St. Pius X to be precise. I like how he revived gregorian chant, and that he was a big promoter of orthodoxy.

Yep- those were the days…Hollywood actually made movies that made Catholicism look GOOD. I think Bing Crosby is in it though, and I heard he was an abusive father- even though he was Catholic. That sets a bad example.

The books and articles recommended for me look interesting, but I don’t have time to read them right now.
 
I first answered the survey: Traditionalist.

I then took the quiz and scored 82: Traditionalist.

I do have a problem with the quiz, however. I seems biased towards a traditonalist score of 100. A better quiz and perhaps a better score would have had answers that were not so rigid or narrowly developed. I think that (and perhaps to my dismay) had the answeres been better developed I may have actually scored as a Neo-Traditionalist.
