Wow! That could be the funniest thing that I have heard on these forums! But seriously, the Latin Mass goes hand in hand with the traditional theology. I find it kinda hard to seperate 1000 yrs of traditional morals from the Mass of Saint Pius V.

90 - Traditional Catholic. The meatless Fridays outside of lent got me. I also like VII - I’m not sure how we got where we are today after reading many of the documents of the council. The Holy Spirit guided the council; I can only believe the unholy spirit guided many of the executors at the parish and diocesan levels.

Favorite Pope - JPII (BXVI’s great, too). Traditional Catholic? Maybe. I’d like to be a Faithful Catholic.

I marked myself as a “recovering” Catholic because of my years away from the Church and my time now being spent unlearning things. However, I scored as a “traditionalist” because I have begun to understand more the Church’s teachings as an adult. I guess I should really classify myself as a “struggling to be a faithful” Catholic. I found the quiz a bit lacking in options to select. For example I could not accurately respond to the statement about "I attend mass …’. as there was no option for “every Sunday and sometimes during the week when situations allow”. There were probably three or four other questions or statements whose options also did not fit my situation. I guess this is a common problem with non-scientific surveys. They are generally inadequate. But still it was fun.

I am happy to be classified as a “traditionalist”. It means I’ve come a long way back. I do believe that the goal of all Catholics (and all people) is to pursue sanctity. We may never reach it but God knows and appreciates our desires. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for holiness.

At 91 I’m a “traditionalist”, 'though that’s not what I would call myself.

You wish the church would revive the time-honored customs and strong institutional discipline that prevailed before the Second Vatican Council.

I wish the Church would cling more closely to her cultural inheritance - which means everything from Latin and Gregorian Chant to habit-wearing religious.

I also wish Catholics on the whole were more willing to live out their faith fully, but I don’t deceive myself that the stricter discipline before VII meant that Catholics then were stronger believers. Rather, the chaos following the Council demonstrates that Catholics before the Council could not have been strong in their faith.

And I do not have a liturgical agenda to promote the Tridentine Mass, however. I prefer the Pauline Mass-in Latin.
