Babcia is grandmother. I haven’t been Polish all this time without forgetting that.
 
Our priest is an “aymen-er,” so I say “Ahmen!” very clearly when I receive Holy Communion from him 😃

(I also put the initial H on “Alleluia,” but that’s another story; nobody can hear me, anyway.)

If we are being technical, shouldn’t it be “ah-mEYn” since the original Greek of the Septuigint uses an eta instead of an epsilon?
 
I go by the Hebrew original, not the Greek translation, but in this case the Masoretic vowel pointing closely matches the Greek eta, that that is what informs my pronunciation. I do say more “ah-meyn” than “ah-men” (rhyming with “ramen”).
