I have gotten the ole stink eye from some people when before mass I am reading the Liturgy of the Hours and then one of them will come up to me and tell me “You really should not be playing with your phone in a church” I kindly tell them that I am actually praying the Liturgy of the Hours. Maybe this guy had this happen to him one to many times and he is just reading/singing from his phone screen. 😉

Since I’m pretty sure I grew up with Mother Gothel’s twin sister, it’s hard to forget about the song. 😉

Given the song this is from, I’m not sure that’s quite the right message…
Yeah, I see lots of Catholic memes that you sort of need to disregard where it came from so as not to get the wrong message. 🤨

I always look at those kinds as “haha, you meant it that way, but I am spinning it into this!“ Especially as some people (ooh, ooh, me, me! 🙋🏻) don’t even know the reference. Some of them are still good on their own.

Well, I didn’t mean it THAT way!!! I wasn’t being disrespectful! It’s supposed to encourage Marian devotion. ❤️

Nature of the internet, I think. Quotes end up out of context and then people put them on things where they make sense, without necessarily thinking about the original context.

That’s exactly what I did. I wasn’t trying to make people think Mary’s a bad person, because we all know she is wonderful and holy!!! ❤️ I was sort of hoping nobody would get the Tangled reference. 😉

Wel that reference to “Tangled” was totally lost on me. I guess what you see depends a lot on what you are exposed to, and experiences.

Sure, we are capable of stumbling out of bed and telling ourselves we’ll get to that letter to the Ephesians once we’ve had a cup or two. Then before we know it, it is 11:30 and we haven’t even started.
