I have read some of the books and seen some of the movies. So let us do a quick analysis of Harry Potter. Starting with the Titles of these books.
Year One: The Sorcerer’s Stone
Year Two: Chamber of Secrets
Year Three: Prisoner of Azkaban
Year Four: Goblet of Fire
Year Five: Order of the Pheonix
Year Six: Half-Blood Prince
Year Seven: Deathly Hallows

Now we can show in the Scriptures the Comparison of Saints to SPIRITual stones. The TEMPLE which JESUS built is made from the souls of Saints and the LAW is written on their hearts like as to the tablets of stone of the Ten Commandments. JESUS being the Chief Cornerstone. The Sorcerer then is a magical contrarism to the first commandment. This is saying a saint of satan? . … reverse from Scripture, because it is demonically inspired?
Chamber of Secrets . … The Sacrement of Confession . …
Prisoner of Azkaban . … Rather than to make free, to lead into captivity and slavery . …
Goblet of Fire . … The Sacrement of HOLY EUCHARIST . …
Order of the Pheonix . … Sacrement of HOLY Orders . …
Half-Blood Prince . … and inversion of the incarnation . …
Deathly Hallows . … Blasphemy . … rather than to make holy, to make unholy . …

Further seven has the meaning of ARCHANGELS, the LAMP STANDS before the THRONE OF GOD.

.
WHAT? That was the most confusing thing I have ever read, and I had to read Tolstoy in college.

My point is this isn’t just a fiction tale with an occult theme, this is a carefully designed satanic plot in the tradition of satanic cults, which relates to things HOLY but makes them descrated and “unholy” but turning everything around upside down and backward . … they are seducing children (being produced by a major publisher of children’s education books Scholastic) into occult thinking, but shrugging it off as “just fiction” . …

Satan is having a hey day, attacking the Church accusing of sin, that he created, and then seducing children into blasphamy and lust (pornography means “devil’s pictures”) . …

We should recognize satan is using the “media” (iran was once known as media) to attack the west and they buy into the lie, fulfilling scripture in the last days.

In anycase, I’d steer clear of the devil’s blasphamies (Harry Potter, The Da Vinci Code, and a plethora of other blasphemous films, books, and albums which praise sin and the devil and deny JESUS CHRIST). If there is any doubt about the days in which we live . … with apostacy and satanic worship being taught to children . … as they kill their children in abortion (50,000,000 dead babies witness against them, as does their storing up riches and ignoring the least of people).

I’m sure there are good people out there keeping the WORD in righteousness. Keep up the good work.

LOVE your neighbor as yourself.
Amen.
To borrow another poster quote…

Have we read the same books? Because your way off on the titles and if you read the books especially the last one you would understand how life is regarded. If JK Rowlings wanted to make it a satanic book then the ending would have been completely different (trying my hardest not to spoil the ending). Through out the books those who crave the evil and power are looked down upon compared to those who value life even if it means giving their life up for their values.

Technically, the first book’s title is Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (as created by Rowling), not Sorcerer’s. Scholastic Publishing (US publishers of the HP series) felt that the word Philosopher didn’t across well to US audiences so they used Sorcerer instead. And Philosopher in Britain means something different than Sorcerer. So blame the publishing world for that change.

You don’t expect me to buy that refuse do you? Harry is studying magic, carries a wand, does things to toads, even has a familiar. You aren’t going to tell me the publishing world is to blame for that as well. Though they bought into it hook line and sinker. Satan most certainly would like to deceive everyone into believing it is just fiction, and pretty soon everyone is bowing to idols, and doing human sacrifices and having perverse sex as some sort of sacrement of satan.

I don’t buy it for a moment . … satan already knew what he was going to do, and did so with the idea that people were just stupid enough to buy into the lie. Satan has a pretty high opinion of himself, that’s because of pride . … and pride is why satan, and those of satan will never repent . …

Therefore repent repent repent . …

Wow - you sound a little paranoid here. It is only fiction and the links you made are very contrived or tenuous at best. I once had friends who played music backwards to ensure that it wasn’t containing any Satanic messages and thet seems to be what you have just done. But my argument is that any normal person doesn’t play music on rewind or turn things back to front to make sense of them. In saying that, I did attempt to read your writing back to front to see if I could understand it any better. All clear - no Satanic messages!😉
We could show that literature is representative of SPIRITual ideas. That in itself is a pretty extensive subject. Instead I’m going to offer you some evidence there is a darker influence in Harry Potter, which is demonic.

First we should recognize that satan worshippers will turn everything upside down and backward. Note that in C.S. Lewis’ “Screwtape Letters” he refers to the devil as “our father below” this is consistant with JESUS saying in Scripture, that some are of their father the devil, even as those who do the will of GOD OUR FATHER are of the FATHER. I paraphrase there. (John 8:44)

Further where as a person raised Catholic might have been taught by nuns, but Harry Potter is taught by witches, abused at home, goes off to school to be taught by witches . . .

where as Harry Potter is studying to be not a priest but a sorcerer . …

Everyone who takes the mark of the beast developed a large “sore” the scar on Harry’s forehead . …

The Titles are accurate, i read some of them, and checked them on the scholastic website . … Not off one iota.

Sure the devil cares so much about your life, he wants you to live long enough to commit gravely immoral evils that you will in the end be so twisted and society so corrupt nobody would every be able to repent. that’s a lie they are telling themselves, what a great humanitarian satan is, lie to the kids, sell them dope, porn, and magical idols, and tell them how much their daddy pimp who wants to prostitute them for their souls cares for their lives. Don’t buy into the lie . … (hope that’s not over the top as for terms of service, please forgive me) . …

I don’t mess around with demons or the devil, i spit on them.

So you should spit on them but watch out for delusions. There aren’t always demons lurking around

Out of curiosity, are you a fan of ‘Lord of the Rings’? Or maybe you are partial to other fantasy stories? Many of these stories contain wizardry and magic but are not nearly as ‘demonised’ as HP. Always fascinates me, the double standards some folks have. I’m not suggesting that you would read books like Lord of the Rings but I am curious. My friends though HP was demonic but LotR was ok but they are both just fiction. Funny thing is, they didn’t stop liking LotR. Rather, they decided that they agreed tha HP was ok as it was only fiction.

In terms of the words of the titles, yes, your listing is accurate enough (except for the failure to note the difference between the UK and US titles for book 1). In terms of what the titles signify, you could not be further from the truth.

But if your mind is made up (as it appears to be), I shall refrain from attempting to confuse you with facts.

O’Brien rates books this way:
  1. The book is wholly good. (Pefectly acceptable reading)
  2. The book is fundamentally good, but problematic in some respects. (Acceptable reading, but perhaps with supervision)
  3. The book appears good, but is fundamentally bad.
  4. The book is wholly bad.
I would rate the books a 3. Deuteronomy 18:9-12 warns against soothsayers, mediums and wizards. The books while overtly about good versus evil, introduces young people to witchcraft and such.
The wiccan religion said that the Harry Potter books were the best advert they ever had, their websites got more hits and their meetings more people.
Need I say more;)

I read the lotr when i was young and enjoyed it, not being wise enough to understand it beyond an interesting tale. I have always been fascinated with certain historical periods, especially medieval/dark age England and fuedal Japan. There are certain myths around this sort of thing in King Aurthur and Robin Hood. Merlin the Magician in particular. I also played some Dungeons and Dragons when a young teen, again being ignorant of any sin of it, not ever being involved in occult, but made a small study of polytheism of ancient religions, and mythological themes and liturate. As well has philosophical readings, without extensive philosophical or mythological studies.

I am convinced of the demonic character of harry potter, that it is very intetional to this point, even if the author didn’t intend it. That can happen because the devil does deceive and use people . …

My point was, Jesusstreet, that you are making very strong condmnations(if that’t the right word) on Harry Potter because it contains magic and wizardry. The other stories such as Lord of the Rings contain magic and wizardry too. Therefore you chould be equally critical of them otherwise you have double standards. the reason people are anti-HP is becuase the Bible says wizardry and magic are wrong. that would be the same for merlin as for HP if you take the books to be more than fiction. which I don’t.

This is simply stretching one’s imaginations too far. This is what happens when one doesn’t read the books, and makes a conclusion based only on what one reads at a glance. Read first the books and understand what the titles refer to before making a conclusion like this.

While of course the parallels are not always perfect, I have found that the seventh book especially has led to some very good family conversation on how some of the events in the book are Christian, and how there are alot of Catholic ideas. Of course these are abstract and not always perfect, but I find that these books have incredibly Christian, and sometimes specifically Catholic undertones. I think these books are a great read. Of course there is the danger that people might become obsessive with it to an unhealthy extent…but that danger accompanies many other good things as well.

Hi everyone,

This is my first post and great to have read all your (name removed by moderator)ut. At first, I found myself very critical of all the super-heroe movies and shows due to my precaucious of non God related magical powers, but I think I have to agree with some of you it does greatly depends one’s awareness of one’s faith in comparison to these themes, that’s why I think guardians are utmost important in guiding their kids. To me, they’re just mere entertainment and watching them is another way to learn how much atheistism is creeping into the media world (in some, not all), and if not careful, it could silently disable us like a silent cancer grows.

Just my post… 🙂

What does Harry do to toads?

Harry does not have a familiar.

Yes, please say more about more people going to Wiccan sites.

The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

shhh. Don’t start quoting bible verses found within the Harry Potter books. Remember they are suppose to be Pro-Satan books. And the devil would never point out the morals of fighting and living the truth even when it means sacrficing your very life. Wonder how many saints are in heaven for those very same actions???🤷

I would love to point out what the titles really mean but it would ruin the 7th book if you understood what the Deathly Hollows meant before you read or saw the movie
