First of all, God doesn’t make a choice for us, we must make it ourselves. Oh, by the way, Christians didn’t name the pro-abortion movement, the pro-abortion group did, and very clearly wanted to use the words,“pro-choice” in lieu of pro-abortion to deflect what they know is a defenseless position.
The second issue is murder. Who is going to look out for the voiceless, the unborn? It is a moral obligation to save those who are defenseless. Would you feel it is ok to stand by and watch some thug kill an old person who is defenseless and helpless? Would you just stand there and do nothing to help? What do you think God would say to you concerning your thoughts about the thug’s “choice” and your’s? And another twist to think about; When is it no longer a mother’s “choice” to get rid of that child? Born or unborn? Say a couple weeks or months after the child is born and she finds life is too hard for her or she would rather not be tied down taking care of her child? Just kill it and it is ok becasue it is her “choice” since it is her kid? Oh yea, how about the father in this whole thing? Have we forgotten that it take 2, read that clearly, 2, to make a child and are you saying he has no say in what happens to his child? Get real. Are you forgetting that perhaps that child-to-be, caused by rape, is not worth having? So just kill it? Perhaps you do not understand, that by the 6-8 week, a time when you previously just were finding out perhaps you were pregnant, that child is already fully formed with arms and legs, a heart that is beating, fingerprints, etc, etc. It is not just some unwanted growth, like a wort, to be wantonly cut out and disposed of. It is a God-given gift and for whatever reason and by some perhaps, mysterious, misunderstood method (yes, perhaps rape) He has given this mother a new child to bring into the world. If you ever care to read the Catholic Catechism, you will find in there where it is our Catholic faith says that we believe that yes, God does permit evil to happen but always, always makes something good to come from it even though we may not see or understand it at the moment. Sorry, but you can not be Catholic and believe in abortion. You might want to say you are and I know there are many out there who believe they are but not so.
