If you are taught by another human it only means one of 2 things or both.

1 - You lost contact with God and needed this person to tell you. (eg. David by Nathan)
2 - You have been deceived and not speaking to God.

what is it with you and this verse? you seemed to be hung up in one verse of the Bible and not want anything to do with the rest of the Bible.

do you not know that our Lord says: Faith comes by hearing the Word of God? is this not saying that we must hear the Word? who tought you the Word? or you found this verse and suddenly assumed that you dont need to hear the Word? what is your problem?

According to my* Merriam-Webster *dictionary; to be enlightened is to be, “freed from ignorance and misinformation”. I am not surprised that you do not wish to be freed from such short comings. I just didn’t think you would be so open about it…

I think what Mosacked needs is a clear understanding of what the word “anointing” means.

Perhaps he will grace us all, though, and try to teach us what it means.

I am anointed, by the way, by every definition out there. I was anointed with the gift of tongues when I completed a LIfe in the Spirit program. I was anointed at my Confirmation by the Bishop. I have spoken face to face with the Risen Christ.

None of these things mean that I don’t need good teachers. They enabled my mind to be opened to be able to receive good teaching. But they didn’t automatically infuse my mind with knowledge - I still had to listen to good teachers and read good books. But if any of these things had puffed me up with pride, or caused me to think that I no longer need to listen to the Church, that would have been the sure evidence of a false anointing - something from the Devil.

How do you personally and honestly interpret this passage form Sacred Scripture especially the expression “mother of my Lord” given the fact that the angel said “the Lord is with you” in Luke 1:28 to Mary earlier in Sacred Scripture?

When I read your first post about Theotokos I honestly thought you were a non-Christian attacking Christ. Do you know the history behind Mary being called Theotokos (God-bearer or the one who gives birth to God), and why this title has everything to do with Christ Jesus (who is fully God and fully man; one person) and NOT God the Father or God the Son BEFORE the Incarnation of God becoming man?

To Catholics the title Mother of God has everything to do with Jesus because Catholics believe Jesus to be God. To Catholics to say Mary isn’t the Mother of God you are saying that Jesus isn’t God which is blasphemy to Catholics. The title Mother of God is a blessing to Mary because she was blessed to have God become her human child called Jesus and so “all generations will call me blessed” Luke 1:48.

If you are a non-Christian then I ask you what I asked a Muslim on another thread:

The incarnation of the infinite God becoming a finite human person and yet remaining infinite God is another Divine Mystery that Christians accept on faith. Can an infinite God becoming a finite human person and yet remaining infinite God? Christians say yes because God is infinite.

Do you believe it is impossible for an infinite God to become a finite child of a mortal human woman? If so then He is not an infinite God. We can’t understand how because of our finite human minds, so it is a Divine Mystery we accept on faith.

The problem is the SAME…your communication with God is not working. And whether or not this person is indeed conveying messages from God is a total unknown.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

The one who is being deceived is you, my friend. By your words and actions and a confrontational attitude it looks like the “great deceiver” is prompting you, for he knows scripture also ( and better than you do ). Please stop and think of what you are doing before you fall into the deep pit and cannot climb out.
