Just FYI, you’ve misread those statistics. That table excludes the book of Psalms which is a major part of scriptural prayer in the Church. So, that’s 13.5% excluding Psalms.If you go to mass every day for three years, you hear about 13.5 percent of the Old Testament.

I believe that Catholics should read the Bible as well as go to mass, we can gain so much from reading the whole book as it was written.
