Read the books of Kings. 10 of the 12 Tribes of Israel aposticized.Yeah, non-practicing Catholics and cafeteria Catholics. Actual practicing Catholics who know their faith, and know that supporting those sort of things is against the Catholic faith, do not.
Actually you’d be surprised how many weekly (and even daily) mass attendees are in favor of gay marriage,.Yeah, non-practicing Catholics and cafeteria Catholics. Actual practicing Catholics who know their faith, and know that supporting those sort of things is against the Catholic faith, do not.
yes i would be surprised at daily mass going people in favour of it. just because people go to mass on a weekly basis doesn’t mean they understand their faith unfortunatly.Actually you’d be surprised how many weekly (and even daily) mass attendees are in favor of gay marriage,.
WELL SAID! Thousands of us Faithfull Catholics have been trying to get the Pope, through Cardinal George, to excommunicate all bishops ,priests, Polititions, and laity who AID, ABET, and Counsel abortions and\or homosexuality…Yeah, non-practicing Catholics and cafeteria Catholics. Are you?Actually you’d be surprised how many weekly (and even daily) mass attendees are in favor of gay marriage,.
because these interviews are only for those who support such a thing. then they call them Catholic. i bet ninety percent dont even go to Church. i bet that they are most gay people anyway. How come I never get asked to participate in these surveys?![]()
Because people want to paint “Catholics” as a bunch of moral hypocrites. So they use the poorly catechized to show “proof” that Catholics don’t practice what they preach. They are doctoring the information. How come I never get asked to participate in these surveys?![]()
I won’t necessarily be surprised at the weekly Mass attendees…my stepmom goes weekly but doesn’t agree with all the Church teaches.Actually you’d be surprised how many weekly (and even daily) mass attendees are in favor of gay marriage,.
I don’t think there’s any doctoring at all. They surveyed a large number of Catholics without determining the degree of their being catechized, and this is the percentage they came up with: “Only 19% of white Catholics, and 30% of Latino Catholics, are faithful to Catholic teaching, which opposes the legal recognition of homosexual unions.”Because people want to paint “Catholics” as a bunch of moral hypocrites. So they use the poorly catechized to show “proof” that Catholics don’t practice what they preach. They are doctoring the information.
Not a ton of daily Mass people but more than you’d think. But the daily would suprise me. I’m a weekly and daily (as often as I can with my work schedule) attendee and I do not support homosexual marriage. It would be interesting to see who they polled and where…
Well, according to the Church’s own laws anyone baptized Catholic is Catholic. They might not be good Catholics but they’re still Catholic.Because people want to paint “Catholics” as a bunch of moral hypocrites. So they use the poorly catechized to show “proof” that Catholics don’t practice what they preach. They are doctoring the information.
Um, no but thanks for asking. Are you?
That is true. but we dont really know who they polled, do we?I don’t think there’s any doctoring at all. They surveyed a large number of Catholics without determining the degree of their being catechized, and this is the percentage they came up with: “Only 19% of white Catholics, and 30% of Latino Catholics, are faithful to Catholic teaching, which opposes the legal recognition of homosexual unions.”
It’s not the poll takers’ fault that so few Catholics feel that way.
That “I’m a true Catholic, you aren’t” smacks of self-righteousness.Well, according to the Church’s own laws anyone baptized Catholic is Catholic. They might not be good Catholics but they’re still Catholic.
Second, how far do we want to whittle down what is considered a “true” Catholic or acceptable enough to be called one. By the Church’s own laws simply being baptized Catholic is enough. And anyone who attends weekly is fulfilling their basic obligation as a Catholic. It might make people feel better to claim that poll results that don’t like aren’t “real” Cathoics, but we also need to face the facts that there are Catholics who meet all their obligations and still disagree with the Church on certain issues.
Hold it right there. I’m a liberal and I practice my faith. No need to bring politics into this.until the bishops get the hint that they must teach Catholics the faith, we will continue to be put to shame by those liberals all around the world.
Teaching the Faith is politics? oh! that is right, you said you are a liberal. you dont care about the faith being tought right?Hold it right there. I’m a liberal and I practice my faith. No need to bring politics into this.
