I just wish everybody would stop acting like Islam has a monopoly on the word Allah and I really wish Benjamin would not create all of this confusion by trying to impose his own personal definition of the word Allah on to other people by putting them down when they disagree with him. Doing these things is just plain wrong! If she was a follower of Paul, then it is more than doubtful she would have used that word. Because at the time of Paul, what is known today as Turkey was “Grecophile” (Greek culture, Greek language)
Yeah that’s probably more likely but I was thinking that it possibly was a Greek word as well that came into Turkish at some point so I should’ve said possibly instead of probably. Anyways it doesn’t really matter whether she did or didn’t. This much I do know the word predated the Ottoman Turks and it was used by early Christians. There are some Christians in Turkey who flat-out refuse to use Allah. My Catholic friend who is not a Turk but who speaks fluent Turkish refuses to use it because when he does everybody thinks he is Muslim.
Exactly! That’s the point I’ve been making as well![]()
