I think the Holy Father made a big mistake in doing that! He probably did it to be polite, but it’s caused a lot of confusion. To claim that the Vicar of Christ considers the Quran “holy” is nonsense! You’re the one using “dawa” and conspiracies to confuse the issue.

Benjamin, when a Pope makes a public statement, it is always wise to have a good understanding of their opinion on the subject they are speaking on. The best way is to read their writings. To do otherwise, is to put yourself with the media and other anti-Catholic bigots, who jump to the easy conclusions without any depth to their understanding.

So, do you think the Pope would kiss the gospel of judas. I mean, I think there’s some truth in there as well.

As for what the Pope did, kissing the koran is just about the only thing he ever did in his pontificate that I had a real problem with. But then he was a man, and not God. He could and did make mistakes. We should not take everything the Pope does at face value. He also visited the wailing wall. Does that mean he thought the temple in Jerusalem should be rebuilt?

lol, if you have an open mind its not confusing at all! The Holy Father didn`t make no mistake when he did that. John Paul II knew in the Koran there are kind words about Jesus and Mary, and that is the “Holy” section he kissed (if you know what I mean". He kissed the Koran because it is in some sense Holy, and it also shows the followers of muslims that Catholics are the true Muslims for we submit to Jesus Christ who is Allah the most gracious and the most merciful. Why is this so confusing to accept?

hold on, I have a theological question. Dosen`t satin need to pray to God in order to have premission to tempt someone. I know God allows satain to tempt us in various degrees depending on our religious status. So if tsatin does indeed pray to get premision then he is forced to worship. Also, Muslims that fast, behave good, pray, and do charity do indeed worship God and obey some of His commendmends. So yeah…

there is a difference. A Muslim can`t defend Mohammeds actions, but a muslim can defend his beliefs by saying what he simply believes. Its simple. Faith and facts are two different things.

Did he say the temple should be rebuilt? I don`t know, but I do know he said to muslims “we all worship the same God”. Kissing the Koran meant no harm to no one, he was a true Catholic a humble servant of God, a joyful child of Christ and Mary. He kissed it with an open mind and showed the whole world how a real Catholic should act.

tell me, where am I coming from? A muslim point of view? nah, I am not a muslim, I dont follow the laws of Islam. I submit myself to the Roman Catholic Church, and I belong to Jesus Christ, and I behold my Blessed Heavenly Mother Mary, ever Virgin! I dont follow Mohammed, nor do I justify his actions, but I do accept the truth he spread when the Holy Spirit intervened with his wickedness. But the real question that must be asked and answered is why did Jesus say that “he who believes in Me will have life”. What does that mean? What it means is that life is eternal in Christian beliefs. Belief in Jesus as the Son of God means that we indeed submit to God and AND we profess HOPE for salvation. We submit to God by walking and talking like Christ. We submit to God by loving our fellow man (enemy and friend). We submit to God by welcoming all believers and non-believers to share in God’s glory.

“He who believes in me…” To believe is to act. To act in a way that bringest one closer to God. Submission to God brings one closer to God. Catholics need to submit to God - we have for 2,000 years.

I have already told you that they do NOT obey any of the Commandments.

mohammed made up his own rules - they are called halal (what to do), haram (what not to do), and shirk.

mohammed had to make up his own rules since he did so many atrocious things in his life.
