To get back to the original question, as far as I can tell, “RealCatholicTV” is very faithful to the Pope and Magisterium.
The cricitism that I have mentioned is not a quesiton of their orthodoxy, but only of their need to follow the Church’s teaching on lay Catholic organizations and authority. On the other hand, I believe they deserve the benefit of the doubt if they are trying to apply for such status. On the other hand, you mention:
I would like to know if the “National Catholic Reporter” has been approved by the Church,
I looked into this group, as I was unfamiliar with them and my thought was, “WOW!” Read this part of their mission statement:
…a print and web news source that stands as one of the few, if not the only truly independent, journalistic outlet for Catholics and others who struggle with the complex moral and societal issues of the day.
ncronline.org/mission-and-values

To use “Catholic” and “independent” in the same sentence is to misunderstand what it is to be Catholic. There is not independent Catholics. While I would hope that Real Catholic TV would seek to become a proper apostolate, the NCR takes pride in their independence. I guess it should be no surprise that if they begin in error that they will descend deeper into it.

Other than John Allen, that publication is not worth reading, other than for know-thine-enemy reasons.

I did not know however that their issues go way back.

‘National Catholic REPORTER’ is so independent that it does not follow the teachings in the “Catechism of the Catholic Church, Second Edition” which is from the Magisterium of the Church and contains the Doctrine of the Catholic Faith.
They oppose many of those who do.
Last year they honored Sister Carol Keehan who supported Obamacare which allowed the taxpayer funding of abortions as worded against the US Bishops. They also had Nancy Polosi as the main speaker at their annual conference. They use the name “Catholic” to confuse the secular media.

The Reporter chose their name including the initials NCR to confuse faithful Catholics with the older and faithful ‘National Catholic Register’.

I would go so far as to say that the Reporter is heretical and scandalous.

CCC - " 2089
Incredulity is the neglect of revealed truth or the willful refusal to assent to it.
Heresy is the obstinate post-baptismal denial of some truth which must be believed with divine and catholic faith, or it is likewise an obstinate doubt concerning the same;
apostasy is the total repudiation of the Christian faith;
schism is the refusal of submission to the Roman Pontiff or of communion with the members of the Church subject to him."

" The Catechism of the Catholic Church, which I have approved…and the publication of which I order by virtue of my Apostolic Authority, is a statement of the Church’s faith and of Catholic Doctrine, attested to or illumined by Sacred Scripture, the Apostolic Tradition, and the Church’s Magisterium.
I declare it to be a sure norm for teaching the Faith and thus a valid and legitimate instrument for ecclesial communion. " - Pope John Paul II

Please let us not make issues or conflicts between CatholicTV and RealCatholicTv,
they may have different ways or style but they are both proclaiming TRUTH!

I am really inspired because of these sites including Catholic answers as well. May they continue to prosper and able to spread the good new,s more especially those who don’t have knowledge about the Truth.

Michael Voris is such an astounding Catholic. I like how him and his team went to my country, Philippines, when we were in turmoil about the RH Bill (Reproductive Health) and exposed via Youtube the moral evil of that law.

I as a Catholic pray that we may be one, CatholicTv RealCatholicTV or Catholic.com are all good sites in proclaiming the Truth. May they continue to inspire us and shed light to non-catholics and be home with the TRUE faith.

God Bless!

I would like to know if the “National Catholic Reporter” has been approved by the Church, because they seem to support married Priests, women Priests, gay-marriage, Catholic Politicians who publically support abortion, etc.
They do NOT follow the “Catechism of the Catholic Church, Second Edition”.
So why are they allowed to use the name “Catholic”?
I don’t think NCRep is “allowed” to use the name “Catholic”. They operate outside the Catholic authority. I found this on Wikipedia (I know).
In 1968, NCR’s ordinary, Bishop Charles Herman Helmsing “issue[d] a public reprimand for their policy of crusading against the Church’s teachings,” condemning its “poisonous character” and “disregard and denial of the most sacred values of our Catholic faith.” [2] Helmsing warned that NCR’s writers were likely guilty of heresy, had likely incurred latae sententiae excommunications, and because the publication “does not reflect the teaching of the Church, but on the contrary, has openly and deliberately opposed this teaching,” he “ask[ed] the editors in all honesty to drop the term ‘Catholic’ from their masthead,” because "y retaining it they deceive their Catholic readers and do a great disservice to ecumenism by being responsible for the false irenicism of watering down Catholic teachings."[3]
If this is accurate, they are using the term “Catholic” in direct disobedience to the legitimate local Church authority. But because they are “independent” the Church does not have the power to shut them down.
