Ok, so you sola sctiptura folks, help us out.

Human cloning, acceptable or not?

Is it a sin not to care for the environment?

Allowing someone to die by with holding medical care? Food and water? Even if it is their choice?

Please cite verses on this.

Those of you who are prima scripura can play along

Oh, what about birth control that works as an abortificient? Or the IUD that prevents implantation?

Sola Scripura

Not historical, not biblical, not workable.

When will the protestants see that their faith is built on a house of cards?

When they finally admit that they were wrong all along, which they won’t.
The spirit of ecumenism.

Sorry, Ralph. To your question:
Human cloning, acceptable or not?
Wrong, and dangerous.
Is it a sin not to care for the environment?
A sin, but I reserve the right to debate what caring for the environment entails.

Touchy. Should we force someone to eat, drink, take medication?
Oh, what about birth control that works as an abortificient? Or the IUD that prevents implantation?
Wrong, especially the former.

Not that I disagree, but do you have Scriptures for all of those? Why is abotive meds worse than a device that does not allow a fertilized egg to implant in the womb?

Hey, TU, stay a while and talk…and go find some Calvinists…

I think scripture puts in God’s hands the creation of life.

One of the requirements of having dominion, is to care for - stewardship.

Do we not all agree that scripture shows we have free will?
Against their will, or without knowledge of their will, wrong.

Jer. 1:5 Certainly in the former we are formed in the womb. The latter, not sure.

The is in-vitro fertilisation is wrong?

Not a scientist here, but invitro requires a sperm and an egg. Yes? Cloning does not.

So there is no issue with removing the procreative act from the reproductive act in either direction? Is there no sanctity of the marital act?

The TU lovefest that we see cannot be supported in SCripture, either 😛

I wonder where the Calvinists and SIA are?

I’m cautious here because there is real danger. But when it comes to a married couple, wishing to “be fruitful and multiply”, what limits do we put on the use of modern medicine to achieve those ends?
This is exactly opposite of RU486 or other abortive acts.

NAd I understand the caution. However, are children a right or a gift? What is a married couple garanteed from God?

My tradition does not embrace sola scriptura. But this looks like one of Jimmy’s baiting threads.

What good can possibly be gained by such?
