I wonder how these lawyers feel about the legalization abortion, the “actual” death of human beings.
If you read the propaganda carefully, you will understand that it is about promoting immoral sexual activity and about turning the Church into an entity that promotes evil and harmful living. One of the biggest myths being promoted today is that few, if any people can control themselves sexually. Thanks for posting this. My own threads appear ridiculous compared to the importance of what your shared.
This morning I’ve heard a program on Catholic radio about us Christians should be ready for Martyrdom to defend our faith in the secular world. This is certainly an illustration of it.
Please somebody clarify this part for me:
quote: They claim the Pope “is responsible for the preservation and leadership of a worldwide totalitarian regime of coercion which subjugates its members with terrifying and health-endangering threats”.
And what an incredible and bizarre statement:
*the Catholic Church “acquires its members through a compulsory act, namely, through the baptism of infants that do not yet have a will of their own”. This act was “irrevocable” and is buttressed by threats of excommunication and the fires of hell. It was “a grave impairment of the personal freedom of development and of a person’s emotional and mental integrity”. *
Also, I can’t believe they are taking the Church to Court for forbidding the use of condoms as a crime against humanity??? Advocating abstinence as a celibate and until marriage, faithfulness within the marriage and openness to Human Life, how are those crimes against humanity???
Let me finish with this one:
Catholics “threatened by HIV-AIDS . . . if they do not protect themselves out of fear of the punishment of sin threatened by the church, they become candidates for death.”
What about RESPONSIBILITY? Because some believers refuse to live up to Church standards, does it deprive them of being responsible for their actions? (not to mention the studies that show that condoms do not lower the AIDS rates but abstinence does as in Uganda for example).
And a more philosophical point: I’ve never understood, even when I was an atheist, the concept of "some things (like contamination with HIV) are making us “a candidate for death”. Every human life is by definition bound to die someday. If you are alive, you are a candidate for death, aren’t you? I’m not sure if many posters will follow me on that one but I’ve always had a sense that my life on this earth has a beginning and an end. The stance of the Catholic Church on the use of condoms is not going to make me more mortal than I already am, is it?
Charges initiated against Pope for crimes against humanity
TWO GERMAN lawyers have initiated charges against Pope Benedict XVI at the International Criminal Court, alleging crimes against humanity.
Tsk, tsk: poor Germans still haven’t found out what does and does not constitute a crime against humanity.Charges initiated against Pope for crimes against humanity

They allege he is also responsible for “the adherence to a fatal forbiddance of the use of condoms, even when the danger of HIV-Aids infection exists” and for “the establishment and maintenance of a worldwide system of cover-up of the sexual crimes committed by Catholic priests and their preferential treatment, which aids and abets ever new crimes”.

This will get nowhere; this screams “frivolous lawsuit” all over it.Charges initiated against Pope for crimes against humanity

Well not quite. Sure you can leave the faithful practice and you can be excommunicated. But many believe they are still Catholic because the Church says they are.Second of all, no one is forcing anybody to be Catholic. You can leave the church at any time, and many, unfortunately have. and many believe they are still Catholic, when in reality their belief system or actions have automatically excommunicated themselves from the church.
In a world rife with manifest evils in the forms of abortion, pornography, drug trafficking and its attendent violence, economic exploitation of the vulnerable, sexual slavery, natural resource plundering, population control and eugenics, etc.,etc, etc…it is nothing short of outrageous that the Roman Catholic Church, which embodies the precepts of “love of neighbor”, “forgiveness of one’s enemies”, and speaks to the power of “mercy, hope, faith…and love”, should be so slandered by the ver existence of this frivolous lawsuit, which represents a vile attempt to wound its head, the pontif.
We watch the Middle East, and we see passion in the faces of the people, whether you agree with their views, or not, it is evident that they are sincere in their beliefs. When will we, the Roman Catholic faithful, rise up en masse and respond to these clearly organized attacks on our church, our religion and our faith? These attacks are growing in frequency and intensity, and they appear supported by a seemingly complicit media. This is our church, and this rampant apostasy and blasphemy must not be allowed to harm us with impunity. We should not allow ourselves to be sanctioned and designated as the last permissable victims of calumny extant in the world today.
The Roman Catholic Church is at the center of my family’s life. It is where my children are educated, and it is the rock that anchors us amid this sea of secular antipathy. As a group, we owe it to our children not to sit idlely by as the enemies of Christ distort, mock and vilify the very principles with which we are forming their very core elements. Will we allow our children to become objects of ridicule and derision? If we do, then we are as contemptible, and culpable as the enemies of the faith.
We, as Roman Catholics, cannot be indifferent, lukewarm, or apathetic any longer. Those who oppose us represent the antithesis of our own world view, and if they prevail, a darkness will gain upon the world, and great misery will surely befall mankind. It doesn’t have to be so. If we rise up against these diabolical designs we can still prevail. But, we will need to demonstrate the very same passions that we see manifest in the faces of those now participating in the “Jasmine Revolution”.
Do the followers of Christ still possess such zeal and spirit? We shall soon find out. The enemy is not going away of its own volition.
Yeah and if you go to their website, which I did, you’ll be even more shocked! They believe in some really weird stuff. I was tempted to order some of their material just to find out more about this weird cult but I decided not to because I don’t want to put myself in a near occasion of sin (I might be tempted to believe some of their things or end up being deceived by some strange argument… my faith in the Catholic Church is strong but because of my Borderline Personality Disorder and other issues, I sometimes am tempted to join other religions.)This link is not about life insurance, it’s about the lawyer in question - Gabriele Wittek.

Wow.
It says they believe in reincarnation and vegetarianism.
Reincarnation == back in the meat. :hypno:

Thank you for those links. We should all pray for these noble bishops, who now are standing face-to-face with Satan, and his “death-cult” ambassadors. They are making a stand at a momernt in the battle which is critical : a space in time when unbending defiance is the only recourse. They vow to withstand the enemy to the very last.

Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell. Lead all souls into Heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy. Amen.![]()
