Speaking of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” the line “He knows when you are sleeping / he knows when you’re awake” seems creeper / stalker, in retrospect.

I was actually thinking about that the other day! If anyone else said that they see kids when they are sleeping they would probably be arrested…

Well, technically someone who comes down your chimney in the night is trespassing too and you would normally call the police and/ or get your gun and order them to get out of your house.

Saying that Santa sees you when you’re sleeping and knows when you’re awake is no creepier than when we teach kids the same thing about God.

If we’re uncomfortable with God, who is real, watching us 24/7, that’s probably a good thing, yes?

LOL years ago kids referred to any questionable adult as a “stalker.” Now, I guess on account of Fortnite, it’s “creeper.”
That said, it’s good to be wary of strangers, especially strange adults. I was just lecturing my teenage niece yesterday about being cautious in chat rooms. At least she didn’t roll her eyes at me.

Yes, when I was in elementary school they made us watch the movie “Safe side super-chick” (and her brother danger dude) about some woman who goes around saving kids from strangers-It was weirdly our favorite thing to watch in religion class

This reminds me when Eddie Murphy played the Tooth Fairy in a Saturday Night Live skit where he gets interviewed. He was dressed in a tutu and he mentioned his job was to sneak into kid’s rooms at night and exchange a coin for the lost tooth.

He said in the interview that he’s been shot at several times by parents who see not the tooth fairy but a black man in a tutu standing over their kid.

Not to get too far off topic, but that reminded me of that movie “The Tooth Fairy” with Dwayne Johnson. One of the few post-1990s movies that I’ve actually enjoyed and laughed at.
