Do you think the anathemas of the Council of Trent applies to Justin? Please notice that Justin used Reformed references on his blog. Therefore, do you think Sola Scriptura, Triune, and myself are false prophets too since we are all Reformed Christians? Why isn’t Justin a separated brethren instead of a false prophet. By definition, he is now a Protestant or a protestor of Rome. 🤷
Answering posts with questions still I see.

I don’t label anyone as it’s not my place to judge.

Protestants are separated brethren as what they have came from the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church is the fullness, Protestants have a “part” of that.

the word Protestant is derived from the word protest.
Main Entry: 1prot·es·tant
Pronunciation: \ˈprä-təs-tənt, 2 is also prə-ˈtes-\
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle French, from Latin protestant-, protestans, present participle of protestari
Date: 1539
1capitalized a: any of a group of German princes and cities presenting a defense of freedom of conscience against an edict of the Diet of Spires in 1529 intended to suppress the Lutheran movement b: a member of any of several church denominations denying the universal authority of the Pope and affirming the Reformation principles of justification by faith alone, the priesthood of all believers, and the primacy of the Bible as the only source of revealed truth; broadly : a Christian not of a Catholic or Eastern church
2: one who makes or enters a protest

I think this thread about Justin is the most significant thread on this Forum site. There are many throughout redemptive history with the same testimony as Justin. I believe Justin is just trying to share the truth in love, having a heart for Roman Catholic Christians. BTW… you will always see movement with professing Christians moving from Protestant communities to Roman Catholic communities, and Roman Catholics moving to Protestant communities. I’m not sure if Rome will call people leaving Rome for a Protestant community to be false prophets. There are always more Christians leaving Roman Catholic communities for Protestant communities.
Do you have sources for your statements, or are they just your opinion?

Is it just me, or did Reformed not respond to any posts addressing points he brought up?

Are you saying Protestants do not know Christ since they are protestors of Rome? Does your answer line-up with the Catholic magestrium?
I am saying that they have a limited understanding of him, and a limited connection, yes.

This lines up perfectly with everything the Bible teaches and the Church.

You guys are the son who left. You are still in the family, just not at home right now. One day, we will rejoice when you come back.

And we feel the same about the Romans (as well as everyone else). Now who wants bratwurst?

Justin is an apostate, false prophet, why? cause he left the fullness of the faith to preach man made doctrine which were and are still being invented by those who have left the church and those outside the church…now those who never have been in full communion with the church are seperated breathern…you can’t be an apostate without being first in full communion…

I’ll beer batter it to make it take more time to cook.

By the way, what’s the cool dragon/cross symbol on your profile?
YAY! Concerning my pic, I’ll explain when I am not here via a cell phone (hopefully I’ll be back on a computer tomorrow) so I can do it more justice. 57 minutes.

I would say that one can get very burned out following Catholic ritual if the reasons behind these rituals aren’t understood. I too had found myself without much spiritual feeling when I attended Mass, and much disinterest in my Catholic Faith. Such empty feelings, as I am sure you can attest.

Lately, however, I have been reading a studying a bit more about the reasons why we have theses rituals, also the dogmas and beliefs of the Catholic Church. When put together, all of these threads begin to make a beautiful tapestry, and there is none other like this in all of God’s world. All other religions are less complete thatn the Holy Catholic Church.:signofcross:

here is the mission statement;

*My name is Justin. I came to know the ‘real’ Jesus in 2004 during my sophomore in college. I was born and raised in a Catholic family, following all of the rituals and traditions that were passed down from my parents. At later point I will talk more in depth about my conversion from Catholicism to Christianity and how to share Christ with a Catholic.

I, like many Christians out there, am very disappointed and appalled to see Christianity heading in a downward spiral towards ambiguity. Many are out of touch with what they believe and are not able to explain their salvation in Christ.*

WHAT SAY YE?

How about some official Catholic sources to backup your opinion about Justin? I’m not looking for opinions from various Roman Catholics from this site. Rather, I am looking form answers from the magestrium. It is clear that the Council of Trent applies to Justin. I don’t get the seperated breathern and not being in full communion teaching of the magestrium. According to Romans 5, each person is either fully united to Adam, or fully united to the 2nd Adam. You cannot be partially united to Christ. You have been reconciled to God through Christ, or you have not been reconciled.

Here is what Justin believes:

What part of this statement of the Christian Faith makes him a false prophet and apostate? I believe the same things as Justin.

Have you been reading about these rituals and Catholic dogmas in the Bible? 🙂

Irony is you asking for sources. You have many requests for sources of what you’ve been repeating over and over yet you not only do not supply sources, you don’t even respond to those posts. Everyone is starting to see through your charade.

The very questions you ask again have been answered but you don’t buy it. We give you answers and you deny them. What were you saying about the wisdom? Seems, like I said, you have placed your wisdom above all here.
I am familar with Scott Hahn and other converts from Protestantism. It seems you put these pastors who leave Protestantism on an elevated platform to look up to. I think Scripture reveals something quite different.

Christ the Wisdom and Power of God - 1 Cor 1
18 For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written,

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.”

20 Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe. 22 For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26 For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, [2] not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; 28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, 29 so that no human being [3] might boast in the presence of God. 30 And because of him [4] you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, 31 so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

Matthew 24:24
For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect

Do you have sources for your statements, or are they just your opinion?
That’s common knowledge that more leave Rome to a Protestant community than the other way around. If you find this hard to believe, just asked one of the officials from Catholic Answers. Justin is just one of many who leave Rome each and every day for the sufficiency of the Scriptures and the sufficiency of Jesus Christ on their behalf.

Read my previous post, you are maintaining your wisdom over all of us. What can we say?

As for this post of yours, I’ve already asked for sources about Catholics leaving the Church, but you still don’t provide any but keep saying the same thing, over and over. What is your purpose here? Are you just trying to bash Catholicism? Are you just posting the same things to try and get a rise out of us?

I’m starting to feel sorry for you. You’re in my prayers.

Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
