The latent homosexuality argument is a shot in trying to prove their opponents’ hypocrisy. In reality, the homosexualists’ attack is nullified by objective reason.
 
Throughout this entire Chick Fil A ordeal, all I’ve seen gay activists do is make themselves look petty, immature, and hateful.

Yup. I am still appalled at how nasty things got on FB this past week. I came very close to shutting my account down even though I really enjoy FB. I’m just so sick and tired of the anti-Christian/Catholic crud that is continually posted day after day.

I finally had to unfriend a guy I went to HS with. Day after day he’d attack Christians and belief in God etc. etc., well I finally had enough when he posted a very vulgar picture mocking the Pope. But now he states on his info page that doesn’t care what others believe as long as they’re not shoving down his throat. Ok, but it’s ok for HIM to shove his beliefs down MY throat???:rolleyes: This kind of hypocrisy is growing day by day and this Chik fil A controversy has just fed it a big dose of fuel.

The last time America was this divided, we had a really, really nasty war. 😦
 
Went and bought my first Chick fil a Saturday. Might just have to buy more.

You’ll do better to buy Wendy’s chicken sandwich. I went to taste CfA’s Wendy’s, and KFC’s sandwiches this weekend.

IMO, CfA’s was the blandest, with a taste of pickle. Wendy’s has the most chickeny flavor and is better spiced. KFC was in the middle.

All three chains would benefit by using French-style bagettes instead of those soft, tasteless buns.

I won’t eat any of the sandwiches because of the fat and salt, but did so only to be able to make a comparison. In the future, I’ll pass on all three, but IMO Wendy’s has the others beat. Wendy’s also charges the same for their spicy, “homestyle”, and their crispy versions. All come with tomato and lettuce. IMO, of course. KFC and CfA lovers may disagree about the taste. 🙂

My uncle, who was a Catholic priest in France was imprisoned in a German concentration camp for helping a Jew read the train schedule.
I have no personal issues by the way. My ancestors helped Jews in WW2 at great peril to their own lives and lives of their entire households.

Misery loves company. All Satan can try to do is to inflict some of his own suffering on others. At least these people still have a chance to turn away from their sins with more people showing the example of the street preacher.
 
These are the same people who will jump up to defend Islam and Islamic nations where homosexual activity is punishable by death. Had I been there and pointed this out they would have most likely responded with “You are such a bigot”, “Fox News lies” or “Not all Muslims are homophoblic” but if a Christian opposes same-sex marriage then we are Fascist bigots who must be mocked. :mad:

Don’t put words into others’ mouths! If you don’t have a link documenting your assertion, don’t post anything. We Catholics have enough trouble with others trying to put words into our bishops’ mouths without contributing to the problem in the same way. 😦 😦
 
I see Christ being mocked and taunted in this street preacher.

The man in no “alter Christus” and it’s silly to portray him as such (Post 57). He’s just some guy who got harassed by some people. If he were a drunkard getting the same treatment from some crowd, no one on this Forum would care. Reading a Bible in public doesn’t elevate you to some special status.

I’m not sure if you are just playing devil’s advocate, or just being contrarian.

I would say that this “street preacher”'s (who very well could be a drunkard, many homeless are) actions are defensible, while the actions of the protestors most certainly are not.

Of course he would get the same defense if he were berated for publicly urinating, but isn’t this the point?

Sure, it’s wrong to make a public fool out of a drunkard or a man who uses the street for a toilet, but that doesn’t make him special even if he has a Bible. I’m not so sure that some Christians might uncharitably not refrain from mocking him or calling the cops down on him.

The preacher’s answer was spot on. “They got a problem with God, not with me. They don’t want God tellin’ 'em ‘Thus sayeth the Lord’”

That’s a better answer than I could have come up with.

None of these 99% defenders of gay love did a thing for that man. The film’s author bought him a sandwich and a milk shake.

Tell me again how much the 99% care for the poor.
