Drat! No Publix in the Midwest 😦

Looks like I’m gonna have to take a trip to Florida again 😃
What’s the source of their chicken? If you want really good chicken, buy Bell & Evans. Never frozen, superb tasting, highest rating by Fine Cooking and Cook’s Magazine.

Down side is that it is more expensive than ordinary supermarket chicken, but could be worth it to those who appreciate high quality and an excellent tasting bird.

Of course only Giant Eagle and Whole Foods serves it.

I really don’t like Kroger 😛 😃

B&E is sold here at Whole Foods; I get run-of-the-mill chicken at Krogers. After all, their chicken, Tyson’s is raised in-state and they have another house brand that is a bit better, but costs more.

Depends on what you’re cooking, of course. The highest quality is better when the chicken is served pretty much on its own. Sauced, high quality taste can be a bit lost.

I cook a lot myself so keep up on these things. 🙂

You can also find frozen Bell and Evans at many health food stores. That way you can buy it and save it for later.

They also have gluten free breaded chicken. Yum.

I go to Chick-fil-A for their waffle fries. Also gluten free. One of the only places I can safely eat french fries.
