Funny that those are on the left are ALL FOR diversity and tolerance, just as long as you agree with their views.
Yes - of course the problem with this is that this kind of intolerance can be found on both sides of the argument…We’ve even seen some less than charitable comments here on this forum from time to time.
Then of course, an outfit like Westboro gives a very big black eye to the “Christian” position and unfortunately - as much as we would like to distance ourselves from such “extremists” - there are many who will simply lump all Christians together…

Unfortunately it seems that both sides have their “vocal minority” to contend with and the media are more than happy to “stir the pot” in whatever way seems to them to be in their best financial and political interest.

It’s sad to see so many people manipulated in this way…

Alright, everybody. By show of hands:

Who ate Chick-fil-A today?!

[SIGN]ME![/SIGN]

What an idiot. Does he think there are security guards blocking the entrance and you can only buy chicken if you have your heterosexual membership card with you? Complete moron. Say goodbye to the jobs chick-fil-a would have provided.
Boston needs jobs, they have a 6% unemployment rate, the mayor should be welcoming Chick-A-Fil

I would love to try Chik Fil A just once…but we don’t have one locally…and when I was in Kansas City, we would have stopped at one, but it was Sunday…and the next day we ate elsewhere.

When I eat chicken at fast food restaurants, I get Grilled Chicken Sandwiches…so that’s what I would try out.

Should I die from cardiovascular disease, or should I die from AIDS? Hmmm. :hmmm:

Me. For the first time. The sandwich was big, and unusually tender and juicy.
So now eating Chick fil A keeps AIDS away? Or are you trying to say that it keeps you heterosexual and no heterosexual has ever gotten AIDS, right?

What I find really funny about Chick-fil-a is that they have a 2 for 1 meal day for Disney Cast members every payday. Disney is one of the more gay friendly employers in the country. So Chick-fil-a is helping gay people save money while funding anti gay marriage programs. 🤷
So, in other words, Chick-fil-a is helping gay people to prosper in this life as well as the next…

Nice try at twisting what I was saying. I think subconsciously you understood, but refuse to consciously understand.

I was pointing out the absurdity of being so concerned about the nutritional value of what one eats, then not being the least bit concerned with the far more grave dangers of homosexuality. It reminds me of the gospel example of the gnat and the camel.

I’m not a proponent of heterosexuality. Heterosexuality is not the opposite of homosexuality. Chastity is the opposite of homosexuality and fornication. Chastity also makes it significantly more difficult to get AIDS.

I didn’t have to twist anything. YOU created the absurd link between eating at Chick Fil A and whether or not you would get AIDS.

Nice try digging your self out of it by insulting me and giving me your little lecture on what you ASSUME is my life.

Well I certainly did not get this from your previous post either…
I have discovered that, if you are “trying” to say something, it is far better to just say it straight out instead of trying to communicate by quip or some other literary device.

The only part of this statement that makes any sense is the last one…
Chastity does indeed make it more difficult to get ANY STD.
As to the other items…well…the discussion on that would be an entirely different topic/thread.

Peace

Congratulations, you didn’t get it. Seeker still doesn’t get it, and I’m sure there are plenty of others, on this forum, who still don’t get it either. A list of their names would read like a “Who’s Who of the Heterodox” on CAF. There are plenty of people here also who don’t make any sense of anything about Christianity. If I had to spell it out without giving a reader a chance to give it some thought, it would lose the value of giving people an opportunity to do some thinking for themselves, and thereby, growing in their faith. People asked Christ, 2000 years ago, why He spoke in parables. Perhaps you should tell Him sometime that He should have just spoken it straight out.

So let’s try this approach on it then. Perhaps you would like to explain how Seeker’s negative comments regarding the nutritional value of Chick-fil-A’s menu supports taking a stand with a company that supports traditional Christian values? And then you can also explain how that was on topic.

Congratulations, you didn’t get it.
Well I guess that we don’t “get” each other… my only intent was to help you communicate better for the benefit of those reading your posts. After all, if the point is to get people to think…and supposedly draw the correct conclusion (which certainly was Jesus intent) your previous posts seem to have failed miserably.
Likewise, when the Apostles asked Jesus to explain a parable, He did. You seem to resist offering more clear explanations of your meanings. This does not strike me as charitable…

BUT - since it appears that you prefer to post in this, unclear and provocative manner…I suppose there is no point in continuing the discussion.
