Sign a few years ago when there were water shortages in a lot of areas: “If it’s brown, flush it down; if it’s yellow, let it mellow.”Just so you know one doesn’t have any obligation to flush either but it’s a common courtesy. Just to let you know in case there isn’t a sign.

That’s rather presumptuous. Common courtesy dictates that you at least ask permission from someone at the counter before using the restroom. The only places I see with signs posted to that effect are businesses that have a chronic problem with people walking in and using (and misusing and trashing and vandalizing) the restroom. I am under the impression that all restrooms are for use by patrons only unless permission for the general public is expressly posted.Unless there’s a sign that states, “Restrooms for the use of customers only,” one doesn’t have any obligation to buy anything as a condition of using the toilet or the sinks.
Now that you mention it…Why do I feel like Stephen King’s novel “The Stand” is coming true before our very eyes?
As much as I like Chick-fil-A, I think it’s both perverse and a major conflict of interest to have the head of government pandering to businesses like this. You don’t support one business over another if you’re in political office, and you certainly don’t go making “days” after them. I can’t believe that’s even legal and would think someone would sue.Gov. Mike Huckabee has made this Wed. a “support Chick-fil-A day” and wants people to go there to support them with our dollars.
Aye, the only prejudice that’s “allowed”.And growing.
Mike Huckabee isn’t governor anymore. Not sure why they still call him governor, titles of artistocracy are a European thing. He is just a talk show host on FoxNews. As much as I like Chick-fil-A, I think it’s both perverse and a major conflict of interest to have the head of government pandering to businesses like this. When someone is not anal retentive and they have need for a restroom, they may skip the necessary niceties to be able to avoid a more embarrassing situation. If one is anal retentive, the situation is usually always under control. just sayiing. nature of the beast! That’s rather presumptuous. Oh, ok. I assumed he was a governor since he was referred to as “Governor”.Mike Huckabee isn’t governor anymore.
Yeah, I didn’t realise you had “for life” political positions in the US!…] titles of artistocracy are a European thing.
I believe that anyone who receive a political title get to keep it for life. I guess its to hard to put ex or former in front of the title.Mike Huckabee isn’t governor anymore. More like they think they’re entitled to keep it for life. I say it’s dishonest and smacks of arrogance and hubris. You can, at most, say “former”. Better to say nothing – if you aren’t remembered for who you are by your name alone, you aren’t worth being known.I believe that anyone who receive a political title get to keep it for life. Well, any politician who isn’t actively serving in that role won’t be referred to as such by me. We put them in office to do a job and when they leave office, they become Joe Q Citizens just like the rest of us dirty peasants.I believe that anyone who receive a political title get to keep it for life. Be happy that you live in Canada where you never have to deal with such an atrocity.More like they think they’re entitled to keep it for life. I say it’s dishonest and smacks of arrogance and hubris. Did Churchill go around calling himself PM? No, because PM is a position, not a title. Same with Maggie Thatcher. Governor is not a title, it’s a position. Funny that this isn’t seen as the case in a country that claims to be against the aristocracy, whereas in a country with a real aristocracy, it doesn’t exist.
Actually, they never said a thing about gay marriage. It was never even mentioned in the interview. He is not doing himself any favours. He is making himself look discriminatory and intolerant, and it will not stand up in court if Chick-A-Fil sues because of him stopping them getting licenses. Chick-A-Fil never said they would not hire or serve homosexuals but that they are against gay marriage. Dan Cathy has the Constitutional right to freedom of speech
Has any pro traditional marriage mayor or governor say they will stop the building of Starbucks in their town, which endorsed gay marriage?
A review of the original interview shows he wasn’t even asked a question about gay marriage nor did he say he condemns it.

‘We are very much supportive of the family – the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that,’ Cathy is quoted as saying.”
In the actual interview, Cathy wasn’t specifically asked about gay marriage.
His remarks to the paper were as follows:

The company invests in Christian growth and ministry through its WinShape Foundation (WinShape.com). The name comes from the idea of shaping people to be winners. It began as a college scholarship and expanded to a foster care program, an international ministry, and a conference and retreat center modeled after the Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove.
“That morphed into a marriage program in conjunction with national marriage ministries,” Cathy added.
Some have opposed the company’s support of the traditional family.
“We are very much committed to that,” Cathy emphasized. “We intend to stay the course,” he said. “We know that it might not be popular with everyone, but thank the Lord, we live in a country where we can share our values and operate on biblical principles.”
