Conservative group hits Chicago alderman for blocking Chick-fil-A

The leader of a Christian group today said Ald. Joe Moreno displayed hypocrisy for his decision to deny Chick-fil-A the right to open in his ward because of the chain restaurant president’s opposition to gay marriage.

“It’s hypocritical,” said David Smith, executive director of the Illinois Family Institute, which opposes gay marriage. “Here’s the alderman turning around and being intolerant and discriminatory because somebody has a different view than he does. Would he do that to a Muslim company?”

He isn’t going to allow someone to run a business there because of what they believe in? Then he shouldn’t allow churches to be built there either since they are against gay marriage also.

Something I dislike about this whole marriage thing is the fact that it is called marriage in the first place.

Affirming homosexual marriage is not an act of love. You don’t lead people to Christ by affirming, ignoring or minimizing grevious sin.

But he welcomes the nation of islam to patrol the streets?

Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy’s recent comments about gay marriage has caused quite a stir across the country and has City Councilman Jim Kenney fired-up.

“As an American you are legally entitled to your opinion, regardless of how insensitive and intolerant it may be, but as a fellow American and an elected member of Philadelphia City Council; I am entitled to express my opinion as well. So please – take a hike and take your intolerance with you. There is no place for this type of hate in our great City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection.”

Plenty of room for their daily murders, however. It sounds as though this councilman has already told Christ to take a hike, also.

Exactly. Mr. Cathy is actually a pretty good model of tolerance. He tolerates people of all backgrounds as customers and employees. He just doesn’t celebrate the actions of those he disagrees with.
