I ate dinner there just the other night. The one down the street has a dual drive thru. It was full in both lanes and wrapped completely around the building in a 360! It was a challenge to get out, let me tell ya!

You’re making the judgement that someone you don’t even know is ignorant of faith? That’s just wrong. There’s a reason why Jesus said not to judge others
Now you just judged me, and your judgement is wrong, because my statement was based on a statement he made.

67 off topic comments in one thread, and none on topic, because he’s not a catechist. Not an excuse.

By the way, your comment was also off topic, which is against forum rules. Could you please (I’m asking nicely) make a post which is on topic?

Chick-fil-A is a family-owned and family-led company serving the communities in which it operates. From the day Truett Cathy started the company, he began applying biblically-based principles to managing his business. For example, we believe that closing on Sundays, operating debt-free and devoting a percentage of our profits back to our communities are what make us a stronger company and Chick-fil-A family.
The Chick-fil-A culture and service tradition in our restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect –regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender. We will continue this tradition in the over 1,600 Restaurants run by independent Owner/Operators. Going forward, our intent is to leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena.
Our mission is simple: to serve great food, provide genuine hospitality and have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A.

Black Pastors: Banning Chick-fil-A From Cities ‘Same Thing’ As Banning Blacks From Restaurants
The President of the Coalition of African-American Pastors says supporters of traditional marriage are facing the same discrimination that blacks faced during the civil rights movement.
“Some people are saying because of the position that Chick-fil-A has taken - they don’t want them in their cities,” Rev. William Owens said at the National Press Club on Tuesday.
“It’s a disgrace. It’s the same thing that happened when I was marching for civil rights, when they didn’t want a black to come into their restaurant, they didn’t want us staying in their hotels. Now they’re saying, because we take a Christian position, they don’t want us in their cities.”
Owens continued, “Well, we won’t take it. We will stand up and they will learn, they will learn that they can’t do that to any people, by destroying religion, by destroying the family, we will stand up.”
held the conference to announce it’s “Mandate for Marriage” campaign, a nationwide effort to urge black voters to refrain from supporting President Barack Obama unless he retracts his support for gay marriage.

The restaurant chain Chick-fil-A became a focal point in the gay marriage debate after company president Dan Cathy told the Baptist Press that the company was “guilty as charged” for backing "the biblical definition of a family.”

The comments fired up gay rights advocates and several lawmakers.

The Associated Presss reports a Chicago alderman vowed to block a Chick-fil-A proposed in his district, and Mayor Rahm Emanuel supported him, saying, “Chick-fil-A values are not Chicago values.” Boston Mayor Thomas Menino wrote in a letter to Cathy: “There is no place for discrimination on Boston’s Freedom Trail and no place for your company alongside it.”

DH and I are at Chik fil A right now and they are PACKED. I guess it’s pretty clear how America feels about Gay marriage. 👍
You believe these two things are related I seriously doubt that.
I’m going to wait and see.

I am guessing in some areas, CFA will see a higher business then usual.
But I am also thinking those near large cities may see a drop.

It remains to be seen what the overall trend will be.

There’s nothing that shows our respect for traditional marriage like eating a Chick-Fil-A sandwich!

How pitiful that people who could be doing more to defend traditional marriage are willing to settle for the crumbs that drop off the table at Chick-Fil-A. Is that all that Catholics can do? Are there no more Catholic ways to oppose same-sex marriage than by buying sandwiches? Seems that there are, to me, but seems also that folks are willing to settle for that one gesture. Alas. 🤷

You’re making the uncharitable assumption that supporting Chick-fil-A is all people are doing. They are doing the same things you do…and supporting Chick-fil-A.

I enjoyed a Chik-Fil-A breakfast burrito this morning, it was delicious :).

There was a HUGE line there, but the workers were on top of it. I was through the line with my food in under five minutes despite the huge crowd. 👍

I see what I see. And, I don’t see much, if anything, more on what Catholics can do in this struggle. But, I do see over 500 posts here about how buying a sandwich is going to be the death blow against same-sex marriage. 🤷

McD’s does a good job of moving folks through the drive-by line, too. So?

I disagree. And I would challange you to show anyone dining on the crumbs.

Seems to me that most are eating the meals on the table, and they are much more then crumbs.

Show one that indicates what you describe…the sandwich being the death blow to same sex marriage.

I think I may have missed it.

Yes, reading my post dead literally could lead to that conclusion. 🤷

Why does this upset you? 🤷
