Because it’s a shame that Catholics should be so quick to settle for a mere gesture when meaningful action would be better. :hmmm:
The same could be seen for walking down the street with a sign. It is just a gesture.

But few can look through history of the 20th century and doubt the power of such meaningless gestures.

Can you give any examples of such powerful signs?

You are completely out of line here. You are judging that Catholics here are ONLY concerned about CfA. That’s a pretty sweeping statement to make for someone who has been known to call people out for not using the modifier “some.”

Additionally, it is not the Catholics who made the big deal out of Mr. Cathy’s statement. It was the pro-gay “marriage” activists who put that statement in the limelight where it went viral.

Even NPR is reporting it now, like it’s big news.

You are just as guilty of devoting time to this subject as anyone else here.

We are all Catholics here, we have the same beliefs. We should come here with the assumption we are all doing what we can to support the faith, either publicly or privately.

So, if you can’t say anything nice to your fellow Catholics, don’t say it. 🙂

A big OUCH! That smarts!

Humbled, I’ll defer to the other posters and put down my megaphone. 😃

I have been by one CFA today and stopped at another. Both are beyond packed. Loving me some waffle fries right now.

To what do you attribute them being packed? To the taste of the food, to its being lunch time, or to agreement with Mr. Cathy’s theology? 🤷

It’s not quite lunch time, so that’s not it. The food is always good, and there are plenty of people who agree with their family values. It is a strong response of support.

it’s too bad that Cathy or some third party doesn’t interview people waiting in line to get confirmation of your assertion. Given the premises of Cathy’s position, I’d think that his customers would be nearly all conservatives.

The pro Chick-Fil-A supporters will be vindicated if Mr. Romney wins. If he does not, well, those folks can still say that they gave it their best shot. 👍

I see what I see. And, I don’t see much, if anything, more on what Catholics can do in this struggle. But, I do see over 500 posts here about how buying a sandwich is going to be the death blow against same-sex marriage. 🤷
BTW…out of the 500+ posts, you are the #1 poster by 2x over the #2 poster, and what have we learned from you from a priority standpoint?

Your toilet habits when you are on the road
Your dietary preferences
Your underwear preferences

I’m disappointed that you have settled on this as your contribution in this struggle. 🤷

I apologize to all for being off-topic. I could say that others hijack threads, too, but that would be trying to mitigate my own failure for being off-topic.

I do believe, however, that most of my posts did, in fact, have to do with the Chick-Fil-A controversy.
