I like the sentiment.
But I am curious when the sign went up.

Was it early on in the story, or was it after the massive crowds began showing up at CFA?
If you go to Google, and just punch in “wendys”, it comes up withthe lastest news, like this:

Just got back, drive thru still wrapped around the building twice, line out the door. Everyone so nice and polite, taking turns getting into the drive-thru and letting people pull out. Employees taking orders outside. Took about 30 minutes to get our drinks but we had a blast. Chick Fil A is THE BEST!!!
It looks like the Allentown mall Chick-fil-A is an anamoly. 🤷

I haven’t seen any other reports of empty Chick-fil-As anywhere, but I guess it makes sense that there would be a few. Overall, I think they should ask for the gay community to protest them more often. 😛

That empty picture was the place next to Chick Fil A. The next picture is of Chick Fil A.

I think Catholicboy1957 meant that the picture with all the people was Chik-fil-A, and the empty eatery was the shop next door to it. Even the employees went over to Chik-fil-A.

Edit: anp1215 beat me to the post. Congrats!!! 👍

No no, I think you missed my little joke. The first picture, which shows an empty eatery, is not a CfA. It is the eatery NEXT TO a Cfa. The second picture is the CfA, which is jammed, and the line runs down into the halls of the mall.

We started a phone call invite to meet at Chik-fil-A at 6pm. The location we’re going to
is in a mall. Each of us has called others, and they’ve called their friends, etc, so I’ll
let you know how many we have there. Interesting that all that was said was, “Wanna
go to Chik-fil-A today ? We’re meeting there at 6.” 🙂
Hard to tell how many went from our group. Several of us got there early and then it was
getting so crowded, the lines were formed and the police were letting people in gradually.
We had at least 40-50 in our group and there were hundreds and hundreds in the lines
to order and waiting for their orders. Everything was orderly, but they did run out of
several items, lemonade and shakes. We got there at about 5:40 and left at 8pm. The
lines are still long!

To reciprocate for all the business that CfA got today, I would expect that Cathy would donate a good percentage of** today’s** receipts to pro-tradmarriage organizations. I don’t expect him to have Paul Newman’s generosity, but has anyone any information about how much that might be? I hope that transactions aren’t all one-way “buy my sandwiches, but don’t expect anything in return from me for your pro-tradmarriage positions.” 😦

What I find really funny about Chick-fil-a is that they have a 2 for 1 meal day for Disney Cast members every payday. Disney is one of the more gay friendly employers in the country. So Chick-fil-a is helping gay people save money while funding anti gay marriage programs. 🤷
I laughed so hard when reading your post!

Seems we cant win them all

Why would you expect that? Why don’t you donate your money? Gaaack–Mr. Cathy donates lots of his money to lots of charities–all of his choosing. I donate my money wherever I choose and I would cackle and snort at anyone who tried to tell me what I should do with my moolah.

I do.

I think that when one profits from a particular event, one owes his benefactors some reciprocity. I think of Paul Newman’s generosity as an example.

I would say that if you don’t like their food, buy some anyway to support them and give the food to some homeless people. Two-for-one good deed 👍
Well, I was driving by the resturant today and there were some people outside it protesting the resturant. One had a big sighn saying “Do not support companys that support hate.” I was like “oh please!” That compelled me to go and order somthing. I did not even know that it was chick fil-a appreciation day. Well the line was about a hour wait but I did like their food. They will have my repeat business. Really good Chicken Sandwich. Did not care for their potatos much but their sandwich was great.

LOL, I can’t believe fellow Catholics think buying disgusting, greasy fast food is anything but a poor health decision.

There are reasons to support a place, and reasons to boycott a place, but if you think that somehow it’s like voting, or working for a non-profit, serving your community, etc. well, you need help.

Lol…since part of what the gay community is angry about is the giving to pro-traditional marriage organizations, I’m guessing he/Chick-fil-A was already giving…without expecting business in return. 😛

🤷

A single-day show of support for a company being vilified by the haters on the Left? It is much, much more than a “poor health decision.” It shows the haters that we aren’t going to roll over in response to their tactics.

I do.

So, you choose where to send your money. So does everyone else. Saying you expect someone else to do with his money what you want is really odd.

Reminds me of the folks that try to get millionaires/billionaires to sign their pledge to give all their money to charity. Sadly, reminds me of the folks that clamored for the bullied bus monitor to give all her money away that people donated.

Just seems like a whole lotta “I wanna have power and control” to me. Blech.
