Notice how it was a Muslim and not a self-proclaimed tolerant humanist who said this.

This is the alarm given by Baroness Warsi (a Muslim), the UK’s minister of faith. If steps are not taken to avert this trend, it is reported that Christianity may disappear in its native lands.

Warsi is the first senior British politician to draw attention to the persecution our fellow Christians are facing. God bless her.

Since many will come from east and west to the banquet of the Father, the faith may indeed disappear from the holy land. But, it is growing by leaps and bounds elsewhere - Africa and Asia, for example.

“There are parts of the world today where to be a Christian is to put your life in danger. From continent to continent, Christians are facing discrimination, ostracism, torture, even murder, simply for the faith they follow,” she said.

Baroness Warsi will argue for a “spirit of unity” to “stir the world” against the persecution of religious minorities. “From Apartheid to gay rights, intolerance and inequality have only been defeated when the mainstream has got behind the cause,” she said.

She is definitely correct. In places like Syria, Pakistan, and Iraq, Christians face severe persecution and sometimes even martyrdom. This causes them to emigrate to other nations so that way they can live life in safety.
 
We should heed the warning of Baroness Warsi. The Christians in America are not immune from persecution, the darkness looming over us is getting thicker every day.

On our 2012 Pilgrimage to the Holy Land, we learned that only about 1.5% of the population of Israel was Christian. Our group stayed at a hotel that was inside a walled area where Christians must live in Bethlehem. And from family in the U.S., at that time, we heard about missiles from the Gaza Strip. We must truly heed the warning of Baroness Warsi, and offer our prayers for peace and support for Christianity in the Holy Land.
