Wrong. Most of the victims were TEENAGERS, that is not pedophilia! Prepubescent children would make it pedophilia. It was homosexual attacks.

Just a question. Would it be possible for christians as a group to understand that Homosexual people getting married and abuse of children are both problems that are now effecting all christian groups?

Oh NO…I can’t help it…I actually have to agree with SIA on this point. You have to wonder what’s going on inside of Catholic’s heads that think calling this something other that pedophilia helps. I understand the point, but it doesn’t help to argue it. However, for others to throw out Catholic for sinners is just heresy and unorthodox thinking because then they’d have to throw out their own religions as well.

Thanks. Downplaying this would be like saying that Bishop Robinson of the Episcopal Church isn’t really homosexual. He just has a tendancy to favor an alternative companionship which he acts upon occasionally. It just does more to make an obviously adverse situation appear more acceptable than it does to showcase the truth.🙂
 
To get back to the original post, I don’t think the article was Anglican church bashing. The two priests getting ‘married’ were going against the teachings and discipline of their own church. If either of them was a practicing homosexual at the time of their ordination, I would say the church was at fault, otherwise not.

Does the Anglican church teach that sexual activity between people of the same sex is sinful??

The woman said she still loves the man. Isn’t that something that needs to be fixed first? What is there to forgive?
Can she obtain absolution from her husband if she repented?

Didn’t exist for decades ? it did, except very few knew about it, I’m sure many in the priesthood were as much surprised and shocked as the rest.

And to the last part of your reply, can you show me where the Catholic Church sanctions any of it?

Can you show me where the Catholic Church sanctions abortion, the heinous crime of murdering Gods creation ?

Can you show me one item where the Catholic Church supports same sex marriage ?

Can you show me one item where the Catholic Church sanctions SIN of any type or description ?
