And I thank you for your choice of words. However, I must likely spoil the irenic tone by adding that what I said was not a plea for patience on anyone’s part. It was a reflection that official Anglicanism, for the most part, is no longer driven to action by any recognisable Christian principles; principles that would be recognised as historic Creedal Christianity, or in keeping with the undivided Church. Hence, the existence of the TAC and other what are termed Continuing Anglican jurisdictions, of which I am a part.

I wish you well, but IMO, official Anglicanism has, severally, forfeited it’s claim to Catholicism, embraced heresy, and is approaching the fringes of apostasy. That Anglicanism moves slowly, in the face of these issues, is in no wise an endorsement.

I do agree with you, re: authority.

I appreciate your candor, GKC. At this point we may decide to agree to disagree. As to heresy, I would remind you that the root of the word in Greek means to make a choice, a choice that might diverge from standard practice. Our Lord made a number of choices during his ministry on Earth that were deemed heretical by the Jewish authorities. That is not to say that all choices are proper in the eyes of God, merely that humans are called to seek God’s intention for their lives.

I believe in the Anglican Communion because of its advocacy of a relational theology. We are in relationship so to discover God’s true meaning for our lives. I don’t walk away from a relationship because I disagree, I remain firm in my thinking until moved to see as the other sees.

Dialogue is a slow and painful process but through it we come to recognize Divine Presence. It has been said that the purpose of communication is to understand rather than be understood.

I seek to understand your concerns as you hear mine.

Which jurisdiction are you within? I’ve heard good things about the Reformed Episcopal Church.
In an historical sense, one might consider the REC as the first “Continuing” Anglican Church, going back around 150 years or so. But it’s impetus to split from (then) EUCSA was that the Episcoapl Church was becoming too “Romanized”. And for most of it’s life, the REC was a 39 Article- afffirming, reformed Anglican jurisdiction. To be sure, the REC has been moving steadily toward the high and more Anglo-Catholic forms of Anglicanism, recently, but it is still not in the range I consider minimal. OTOH, we have recently hosted a REC candidate for orders at our parish (he was attending a school in our area). He served as acolyte, and once he was ordained to the diaconate, he assisted at Mass, until he left.

My parish was associated with the Anglican Province of Christ the King (my deacon son-in-law is a graduate of their seminary in Berkeley, Ca), and is now a part of the Diocese of the Holy Cross. If you know anything about the ever-fractious nature of the Continuum, that might explain things.

D’accord. I can certainly agree with your opening sentences.

One might then go on to explore the implications of some of the following words, but I doubt it would be to a useful end.

For me, the Anglican Commuion (taken as a whole) has made a choice.

So have I.

another example of where things are going

The whole Christain Church is under attack by satan devouring
true believers and causing the Church by (This I mean the Catholic Faith of true believers ) not the revialists who are pionting the Church out to critize it .
satan is attacking the weak in our society and causing them to err
and sin.It is only by unity can true Christains can fight this sourge
ANGILICANS ALL OVER THE WORLD see The rock on which Christ built his Church to be a unified front to that raging beast
and to re unite with Rome but it must be equal to each other no matter the size of each Church.Along with the Orthodox Churches
It must also acknowledge that CHRISTAINS also look into the heart of Christainy on which CHRIST and The Disciples beleive the early church was known as a Jewis sect called the followers of the way and must be constantly aware of this and not to allow the
crime of the 2nd world war to happen again. The folly of satan
GOD BLEST and pray that true Christains keep the faith

This is wrong and should be stopped its only by the radicals are causing the problem it is not BIBLICIAL
