We might see married priests one day in the Catholic Church. But there is zero chance we’ll ever see women priests accepted in the church.
There are married priests in the Catholic Church right now (Mostly eastern rite).

Oh…great…the overall hierarchical structure of the Church is going to be decided in South America.

Great idea.

True. And also by exception. I think we’ll see a wider acceptance sometime.

And that strategy has worked. . .never.
Wasn’t it Chesterton who said something like, “the beauty of the Catholic Church is that following it means never being a slave to modernity?”

Anything ‘possible’ is possible with God.
He won’t make a square circle, because a circle is not square.
He won’t change His mind and make something true ‘false’.

God is capable of doing anything.
Do you not believe in the power of God?

Do you not believe in the power of God?
I believe in the perfection of God, and it’s from this belief that I know he is utterly incapable of contradicting himself. Not incapable as in a challenge to his omnipotence, rather self-contradiction is outside the nature of perfection. Perfect beings cannot lie.

That’s a really unfair question in this situation. Because someone doesn’t agree with your position by no means equates to not believing in the power of God.

Perhaps (Catholicism) “is the only thing that frees a man from the degrading slavery of being a child of his age”.

Do you believe God is capable of wrong? Evil? Craziness?
Because by implying that God could do such wrong things as ‘making square circles’, you are attempting to make God into what He is not.

Here’s what they want, everyone. What an awful sight.
And can you just imagine saying…“Bless me mother, for I have sinned. . .” LOL, modernists…I’d excommunicate every last one of 'em.

Male only clergy is as old as our Church. And tradition, based on scripture is the way the Church works. I do wonder sometimes if married and/or female priests, would help in light of problems these days. Let me add, I was an altar boy for ten years though high school, and at least for 3 summers, would serve every daily mass, and all four Sunday Masses, and serve for visiting priests. NOT one unholy incident happened, no other altar boy in our parish ever insinuated a problem like those coming to the public light over the last several years.
