Church strike for women's ordination

I liked what Pope Francis had to say recently about women taking holy orders.

“In regard to the diaconate we must see what was there at the beginning of revelation, if there was something, let it grow and it arrives, but if there was not, if the Lord didn’t want a sacramental ministry for women, it can’t go forward. For this reason we go to history and to dogma.” “We are Catholics,” he said, adding with a touch of humor, "but if anyone wants to found another church they are free [to do so].”

As a German Catholic, I feel ashamed that there there are such calls to “strike” from some of our women and even some clergy supporting it. I hope that this will taper off without any further damage. Last thing we need is more division, but if they were serious about it and found enough supporters, their path would lead to another schism.

I do believe God is capable of anything. . .anything ‘right’.
The best definition of divine omnipotence that I’ve ever heard is that it is the ability to do anything that can be done. When it comes to God, that leaves out things like sinning, lying, squaring a circle, and making a rock that’s too heavy for Him to lift.

D

These people do realize that the Church isn’t a democracy, right?
Respectfully our Heavenly Father …has a Kingdom a household a family…Mother and Father…
Men and Woman were they not created equal?
Wo/man…Wo …means sames as …man, does it not?
Interesting also…Our Heavenly Creator …his greatest sacred blessing, his greatest treasure… God has chosen to come through the …Womb of a Woman…a child…right? ❤️
Did our Heavenly Father, himself… ordained Woman to bring forth his most Sacred Blessing a child…his children his family? To bring great prosperity to his household, his family… his Kingdom?

Mothers are our first teachers, our first care givers, our first to provide nourishment, first to encourage us, first to discipline us, first to protect us…first to guide us on our way… without Woman there would be no civilization as we know right?

Without Woman there would be
No Nation
No Human civilization, life as we know it, right?
Woman are the ones who bring forth the… greatest prosperity and wealth to any Nation…a child… right?

There would be no… Priest, Bishops, Cardinals, Popes, Professors, Scientist, Laborers, Drs, Lawyers, Inventors, Pilots, Engineers, Carpenters, Poets, Painters, Musicians, Farmers, Teachers, Philosophers, Theologians, Military, Explorers, Pres. Nurses, etc etc…without a Woman would there?

Who then fills the churches?

Who would exist to serve on his holy alter… if not for Woman who gave birth to them?

In ancient times there were many Women rulers who ruled great and mighty Nations, were there not and did so successfully? 🤭

Jesus had many more woman disciples more then men… did he not in serving him and woman out spreading the good word opening up their homes also in teaching?

Woman had great courage remained faithful… right till the end, it was the woman who remained at the foot of the cross …while the disciples ran away in fear back to Galilee?

A house divided cannot stand is this not written?
🤔

Woman were they not chosen and given a very high seat of Honor by God in serving him?
Honor thy Father and Mother…both are equal in serving…🤭

God has called Woman to Holy Order…in serving him…Women bring forth and care for his most Sacred Blessing…a child… 🤭

Peace

The Church tells us that automatic excommunication occurs. They ignore that.

may the fact that the Church in Germany is receving her money through taxes (and not a scismatic group) prevent any real schism to happen?
What do you think?

Women do not do it alone. As the old saying goes, you need two to tango. Although, science is trying to change this.😦
Jesus had many more woman disciples more then men… did he not in serving him and woman out spreading the good word opening up their homes also in teaching?
This sentence is not making sense to me. Where is it said that there were more women than men? He chose only 12 but that was not the extent of men following Him. Women and men are created equal. Equality does not mean we do the same job. The priesthood is one that is for men only not because they are better but that was the divine plan which is not up to a vote.

Respectfully, sounds like you want woman Priests. Yes?

Impossible. It cannot happen and is not debatable.

Have Nice Day 🤭

I don’t think you should consider it an awful sight if they’re not Catholic. While we Episcopalians respect you, your church is not in authority over us. Really, if Catholics believe that women cannot be ordained, that doesn’t offend me. But you should accept that many other Christians don’t agree.

If you’re referring to Catholics attempting to ordain women against their own church’s beliefs, you’re probably right. If you’re referring to Protestant clergy, probably not.

That was what raised my eyebrow as well. Such is the illogical stance these protesters are taking.

That is not true, unless you define history to include only history up to the point women started being clergy, in which case it is circular logic.

To a certain extent, yes, it may make schisms harder because clergy trying to break away would risk losing money. As history teaches, all it takes is a renegade bishop, though.
I have been to the US a few times and also read and observe what is going on in both the US and the German-speaking Catholic hemisphere. It seems to me that overall (grossly generalizing) the former is more “orthodox”, if you know what I mean. German bishops are always on top when it comes to promoting new ideas, especially really bad ones. We seem to have a knack for that - look at history. I do not know the reason for that. The Catholic church in Germany is rich, real rich, but small and rapidly declining. Still, it seems that some of our bishops have huge influence in the global church. I do not really get why. I assume some of that is bought with donating to the Catholic church in poorer countries.

Here’s what they want, everyone. What an awful sight.
And can you just imagine saying…“Bless me mother, for I have sinned. . .” LOL, modernists…I’d excommunicate every last one of 'em.
Is this a picture of Catholics?

Let them do this. Just easier to see who the goats are amidst the sheep.
