Spot on. Plus Donald Trump has actually DONE something about abortion, as in reversed the Mexico City policy, has tried to defund PP, protected religious liberty as regards Hobby Lobby and the Little Sisters of the Poor, made excellent judicial picks.
Do I condone his past womanizing, and dumb tweets, ect? Of course not.
But as another poster on another thread said, His past womanizing was done as a private citizen before he ever ran for office, and as we were told in the late '90’s all the live long day by feminists no less(Gloria Steinem, ect)
that Bill Clinton’s personal life and adventures had nothing to do with how he ran the country_other leaders were not faithful, ect, ect. And they all said it was so important that he supported women’s reproductive rights, that who cared if he slept with an intern in the oval office?
Personally I was never really on board with the whole Ken Starr investigation for this reason.
After all, supposedly JFK and LBJ and we know Teddy Kennedy all did the same things.
So far I think he’s doing a decent job, just as all my liberal friend defended Bill Clinton as doing in the late '90’s.
And hey, maybe they were right!!

As did Eisenhower, FDR, Wilson, and I’m sure others have. Of course, Nixon loved his wife very much…and we know what happened there.

If you understand Jungian psychology, it’s pretty apparent how Trump happened. He’s a symptom, not the cause. Like the fascists of the 1930’s he doesn’t have a particularly nuanced or sophisticated message. He gets up in front of a crowd, belches out some inarticulate and visceral tirade from the bestial depths of the human soul that resonates with the lesser impulses within us. Then he reads the crowd’s reaction and adjusts from there. He feeds off the crowd’s reaction and the crowd feeds off of his reaction to them, creating a feedback loop. By doing this he becomes the personification of the American “Shadow.” There’s a “shadow” or dark side to every person and every culture. He appeals to America’s shadow of misogyny, racism and xenophobia. It has always been there below the surface. He reaches down into the depths of people’s despair and fears and gives it an expression. It’s not about what religion you belong to and how you reconcile him with what you profess to believe from a religious aperture. He appeals to a raw, unexplored and repressed region of the human psyche that lurks beneath the surface of every person, and just enough of us were unable to extricate ourselves from it in order to create a rupture in the thin membrane of decency that holds us together.

Couple that with the one issue voters who would vote for Pol Pot or Stalin if they promised to overturn Roe v Wade in the belief that God sometimes uses really bad people to do really good things. More often or not, a bad person is just that - a bad person. There’s a bad person in every one of us, and we simply have created an expression of it in this character. He’s not the cause. We are.

Care to provide any specific examples or just rather to perpetuate similar generalizations applied by every liberal in recent memory to Republican presidents? I follow literally NOTHING the media left says about him so you must be more specific if you do and actually believe their clear biased nonsense. If Trump perhaps knocks a particular woman, it’s because the person is likely such an idiot she deserves it and has nothing to do with the fact that she’s actually a woman. Who cares about that sort of thing? You clearly don’t see what’s going on here. No Republican gives a toot over what particular genitalia one being knocked has and even if what you’re claiming were true, all Trump would be doing is playing the very same game of identity politics being pushed by democrats today and not only that but doing it and winning. Hypocritical and clueless liberals on the other hand seem to get more arrogant and actually more believing and confident of themselves and their views alternate to those of western civilization after each successive Democratic presidency. Time to wake up to reality and realize that democratic political points and their Presidents are all failures and will always be failures as their goal is always to do something that is an experimental radical departure from the norm.

Meh. Most men objectify women. What trump says and does isn’t out of the ordinary. Besides, what does this have to do with his politics and how come no one talks about Bill Clinton

Also, I was going to add that when we DID have a devout conservative evangelical or Catholic running who supported traditional values, right to life, ect, they always get eliminated quickly-with the left insisting they will try to usher in a theocracy. I was a Ted Cruz gal myself during the primaries.
The public doesn’t vote for them much, either.

I remember the grief Mike Huckabee, Pat Robertson, Pat Buchanan, Alan Keyes, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz got in that respect.

He appeals to our fears more than anything else. Fear Muslims, fear Mexicans, fear “liberals”, fear Hillary. Fear anything and anyone different than us. Choose your side!

Love money, love prosperity, love security.

Sure isn’t the message of Jesus nor the Catholic Church.

No, not intended to be equivalent. Just showing that someone completely faithful to their wife may have other issues.
 
Not hearing much women bashing. Idiot bashing yes, and if a particular idiot he knocks happens to be female again who cares? Plenty of idiots in both sexes and they all deserve to be called out regardless of which sex they happen to be.

So a sexually degrading view of half of the populace are A-OK so long as one isn’t Catholic? Duly noted.

On that note, our Church also opposes human trafficking, prostitution, and - oh, yea - abortion. Good thing that most people doing those things aren’t Catholic, either, right?
