You are right… What my point was… I can know this will be my tendency, that is to protect my kids… and I can even know that I would accept my consequence… but that doesn’t necessarily make it premeditated… it means I know myself that well… if dh doesn’t stop me, I probably would injure the offender. But yes, we are all called to prayer and forgiveness… I just don’t think Jesus is done perfecting that in me yet…

You are also right! I guess it would not be premeditated, per se.

I think the point I was getting at is it could be something you can pray about so if, God forbid, anything like that were to happen you will be prepared to act as the Spirit guides you. I guess, since you know beforehand that you would act in a “hostile” way, it is best to think about a better way to act.

We can never truly predict how we will act in moments of passion. I think that is why I was recommending that you, and all of us, pray that we react in unforeseen situations in a way our Lord would want us to. Because we never truly know what might come our way, especially when it is something we least expect, and we all know that is how life seems to work.

I hope I did not come off sounding like I was chastising you in anyway.

Also, if Jesus was done perfecting that in you, you would be with Him!

Mr Widiyanto has defended the marriage, which is his second, saying the girl had already reached puberty.

“We are investigating the case. We are now gathering witnesses and then we’ll look for evidence on what laws the man might have broken, and we’ll follow up from there,” national police spokesman Abubakar Nataprawira said.

In Islam , Forcefully a man can’t marry any girl or he just can’t buy any girl from a poor family. Imam needs to take consent of the bride. To my knowledge , if she is too young , then on behalf of her , parents must give consent .
Also , pl. remember A Muslim woman can end her married life if husband is abusive.

Islam does not say that it’s adultery to marry a divorced woman . so , a Muslim woman after passing her iddat time ( after divorce she needs to wait 3/ 4 months to see if she is pregnant or not ) , can marry another man & start a new life.

easy . Just look at the name of the thread starter. U don’t have to be a very intelligent person to guess about the post.

If any ordinary Muslims does anything that u don’t like , u will relate it with Islam . When non-Muslims do any serious crime , media or other don’t relate that with any religion or bash any holy Prophet or holy book.

I heard the headlines of CNN , Skynews & other channels . No media is saying who are those young US men ( Hindu , Christian , Jew etc ) who planned to kill … don’t want to mention any political candidate’s name…i may get another warning. If they were Muslims , can u guess , how media would have started bashing Islam ?

there is no hate against the individual just the teachings. i honestly feel sorry for muslim woman, because i know in her heart there has to be some conflict over this. she cannot possibly condone the marriage of a 7 year old child. her heart knows it’s wrong, yet her brain accepts it is what God wants as she has been incorrectly taught.

Once again, another straw-man assumption. Christianity has always been the subject of ridicule by the media. This is a known fact. It is only after the 9/11 attack, that the media has made an about turn and focused mostly on the Muslim world. Despite that, many newspapers still report abuses from the religious world, not only Islam.

Muslim Woman, we do not hate Muslims. We merely do not agree with what your Qur’an has to say about our religion and we do not accept Mohammad as our prophet. We have on many occasions pointed out the reasons from our Scriptures.

Honestly, if Islam did not teach its adherents blasphemous lies about Christians and Our Lord, we would have no problem with your religion.

Are you expecting Muslims to come and condemn such act if Muhammed himself did that for a 6 years old girl!. You will be totally wrong, this is the problem with us, we are brainwashed, we can’t say no to the wrong deeds, because simply its all written in our Hadith, and if a brave Muslim raised his/her voice against such acts then he/she will be punished.

What you hear in the media doesn’t represent even a fraction of what’s really happening in out societies, however, we shouldn’t blame that cleric for doing such miserable act, because simply he is following his Islamic dogma, and he has a sold authentic Hadith to back his act, I personally thing the ones to blame are those Muslims whom were with Muhammed in the early Islamic days, they should have questioned and alerted Muhammed that such instructions can not come from God The Most High, and they should have told him to investigate more about that Angel who claimed to be Angel Gabriel, but booties and captives kept those early Muslims blind and only thinking of sex and money.
