He is talking about Islam here I think but seems to be stuck in redundant thinking about how to address the issue. ie dodgy immigration policy.

I pray that Cardinal Sarah will be the next Holy Father. He is exactly what the world needs. A wonderful, spirit-filled man. Proof that he is exceptional is provided by the amount of hate he draws.

I agree wholeheartedly. If the time has come for a Pope from the lesser-developed Global South of color (Argentina is more of a European outpost in the New World, and I refer here more to culture than to race), I can’t imagine a better choice.

Cdl Sarah apart from pushing 80 isn’t known to be on board with the mission of the post VII Popes. Peter Turkson is a more likely African candidate.

FWIW, Turkson is only three years younger than Sarah.

Something just tells me it might be Ouellet. He would have the advantage of being fluent in English as well as Spanish.
