I like to ask posters what they are talking about, rather than engaging in the fascinating habit that some have for mind reading.
  • If they are just giving an opinion informed by who knows what, so be it.
  • If they have an logical argument, I would like to follow the logic.
  • If they have a conclusion drawn from facts, I would like to assess the facts and the logic.
It may be clear to you, but I like to give the courtesy of asking.

i would say it is pretty obvious out there that we are witnessing a lot of anger by the liberal media and democrats in general.

What was “angry” at the dinner? At the level of “ad hominems” what was different in this roast, then others?

First don’t resort to strawmans

The claim is that the efforts primarily demonize the person (ad hominem) not that it is completely exclusive. Of course there is some sprinkling of policy by some people.

What’s truly bizarre is that you ignore the regular ad hominem attacks.

I made no claim that there are no SD hominems, that is a staple of roadts. But the idea that critics of Trumps mostly use ad hominems versus critique of policy or actions cannot withstand honest analysis

Do no presume to know what another has missed because their perspective or opinion is not yours. The hypocrisy of a few people in power does not excuse abortion, and that joke was based on both sorry reasoning, and a tremendous over-generalization.

You are usually more level headed than this. Calling her a servant of Satan is totally off the range.

Satan would not have used the word “baby”, which is what makes that joke about abortion so horrifying. You may not have noticed, but to a supporter of Planned Parenthood the word “baby” is anathema.

Satan would also not have called out the media for neglecting other important news stories in order profit from Trump’s outrageousness…
You guys are obsessed with Trump. Did you used to date him? Because you pretend like you hate him, but I think you love him. I think what no one in this room wants to admit is that Trump has helped all of you. He couldn’t sell steaks or vodka or water or college or ties or Eric, but he has helped you.

He’s helped you sell your papers and your books and your TV. You helped create this monster, and now you’re profiting off him. And if you’re going to profit off Trump, you should at least give him some money, because he doesn’t have any.
