Comedian uses anti-Catholic jokes

I think the sad thing that nobody mentions about anti-Catholic jokes is that they’re performed by many Catholics. I have seen many comedians on TV who have begun their routine with “I was raised Catholic and…” followed by a litany of things they find stupid or ignorant about Catholic practice or dogma. And it must be Catholics laughing at this stuff. That’s the sad part.

Just one more piece of evidence that alot of Catholics are very poorly catechized in their faith - anyone who really understands and loves their faith would be offended.

When non-catholics say it, that really doesn’t bother me. Its when catholics say it that’s what bothers me. That unfortunately is one of our society’s many tragedies.

That guy is gosh darn hilarious! I laughed for about 15 minutes afterwards. He was making jokes about priests and what his ideal priest would be… it was great.

If you ever get the chance to watch “Richard Jeni: A Good Catholic Boy”, you have to see it!
