another quotation from the wikipedia article: ** “Bahá’u’lláh taught that humanity is one single race and that the age has come for its unification in a global society.”**

my comment, this age to come have been coming for over 160 years. i wonder when it will actually come. maybe if we wait another 160 years?

perhaps bahaullah would have been more accurate to say the age is coming, i assure you, it is coming. any impartial observer can see that the age for mankind’s unification in a global society did not come as bahaullah said it would. i suppose the bahai believe that if we give them enough time the age bahaullah said has come will someday come.

maybe if the span of the age to which bahaullah refers is one thousand years (or maybe ten thousand years) and sometime in the next 840 years mankind will unite around bahaullah, absurd as that may read.

pretty easy to proclaim an age when you let the timeframe of the age be indefinite.

i am not sure if any one else has read where the bahai state how much bahaullah suffered.

this is a quote i lifted from the wikipedia article on bahaullah: "The final years of Bahá’u’lláh’s life (1879–1892) were spent in the Mansion of Bahjí, just outside `Akká,"
forced to live in a mansion and free to come and go, horrible torture if we are to believe bahai.

Eddie,

Where is the purity of heart and justice?

Baha’u’llah, like Jesus also had, relatively speaking, a very comfortable life as a child too!

For 40 years, He was confined, imprisoned, tortured and exiled, culminating in the most notorious prison on the planet in Akka.

Was that not enough for you?

You want to focus on the last few years of His life where His confinement was relaxed?

You can focus on what you wish dear brother, but please be fair 🙂

The AGE FOR the unification of mankind is exactly that, an AGE, which is s prescribed period of time. This prescribed period of time is FOR the unification of mankind.

But Christ does say that His Coming can be missed.
Verses 👍

This first One also makes prophesy of 3 more revelations;

Luke 12:35-40 — “Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning; and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately. Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them. And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the** third watch**, and find them so, blessed are those servants. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

First watch - Find Watching - Muhammad
2nd Watch - Bab
3rd Watch Baha’ullah.

Revelation 3:3 — Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.

Revelation 16:15 — “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”

Luke 21:34-35 — “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Matthew 25:13 — “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

Mark 13:32-35 — “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch. Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning—

2 Peter 3:10 — But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

No Tony, I want the verse where Christ himself say that His Coming can be missed.

The verse you gave can be easily explained …and they have been before. You fail to understand Christianity and Christ

We will leave it there JimmyDFG - I will offer no more replies to you unless you have a specific question in the future.

If we are saying any Word recorded in the Bible is not from or inspired of Christ and what is intended for our guidance, then we need not pursue it anymore.

As a final thought, the way Baha’u’llah explains it Unites the Entire World. Interesting that that is what the world is waiting for.

God Bless and Regards Tony

No need at all for any interpretation or clarification.

Jesus says to watch or we won’t know when He comes. Quite clear and unambiguous.

Perhaps you don’t understand the parables of Jesus
The whole world knows about the Return of Christ, but if the majority of the world is not WATCHING, as has been suggested, then we will miss Him 🤷

Even those who see, often disbelieve, just as in the First Coming…

Perhaps you don’t understand the parables of Jesus
It was the Bible that led me to Baha’u’llah.

“Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life. –Christ (Revelation 22:17 )

This is the Fountain of living water for all that dwell in the realm of being. –Bahá’u’lláh
The waters of everlasting life have, in their fullness, been proffered unto men. Every single cup hath been borne round by the hand of the Well-Beloved. Draw near, and tarry not, though it be for one short moment. –Bahá’u’lláh

Would love an answer to this question:
What further explanation do you need to…

Krishna Mix of polytheism and impersonal pantheism. The universe is eternal.

Buddha God not relevant; essentially agnostic.

This is the greatest Day in human history! Every atom in existence rejoices at the Coming of the Lord.

Let the heavens rejoice , let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it; let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them. Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy; they will sing before the Lord, for he comes, he comes to judge the earth. –Psalms 96:11-13 (See also Psalms 97:1; 10-12; 98:1-9)

"**The universe is wrapt in an ecstasy of joy and gladness **. The Scriptures of past Dispensations celebrate the great Jubilee that must needs greet this most great Day of God. Well is it with him that hath lived to see this Day, and hath recognized its station. –Bahá’u’lláh

“This is the Day whereon human ears have been privileged to hear what He Who conversed with God [Moses] heard upon Sinai, what He Who is the Friend of God [Muhammad] heard when lifted up towards Him, **what He Who is the Spirit of God [Jesus] heard as He ascended unto Him, **the Help in Peril, the Self-Subsisting." “This Day is God’s Day, and this Cause His Cause. Happy is he who hath renounced this world, and clung to Him Who is the Dayspring of God’s Revelation.” "This is the King of Days, the Day that hath seen the coming of the Best Beloved, He Who through all eternity hath been acclaimed the Desire of the World.”

Excerpt From: Effendi, Shoghi. “The Advent of Divine Justice.”

In this Day a great festival is taking place in the Realm above; for whatsoever was promised in the sacred Scriptures hath been fulfilled. This is the Day of great rejoicing. It behoveth everyone to hasten towards the court of His nearness with exceeding joy, gladness, exultation and delight and to deliver himself from the fire of remoteness.] –Bahá’u’lláh

Hinduism is over 3,000 years old. in just 2,000 years we have over 20,000 different sects of Christianity with differences ranging from the divinity of Christ to the trinity to women priesthood and same sex marriage. And we have fairly reliable records as we have the Bible.

But with Hinduism we have no such luxury of having verifiable records of what Krishna actually taught. Unless He returned and told us and He did return and told us that He originally taught the oneness of God. That is proof.

The same with Buddha. Have you read about the 5 disappearances? The counterfeit Dharmma? What did the Buddha originally teach if His records are mostly lost? How can you judge either of these Manifestations on records that are impossible to verify???

Yet Krishna and Buddha have both returned and told us that they taught the oneness of God that’s how we know from them directly.

Again it comes down to Who is Baha’u’llah and we say the Promised One of all religions and that this is the greatest day in human history. Baha’u’llah fulfills the prophecies of all religions and Holy Books not just Christianity.

No dear Jimmy, that is what you say 🙂

I want to know what KRISHNA and the BUDDHA says…

Here are some official teachings:
“…but just how many Gods are there? One.” - Brihadaranyaka Upanishad (Hindu teaching)

“…There is, O monks, an unborn, unoriginated, uncreated, unformed. Were there not, O monks, this unborn, unoriginated, uncreated, unformed, there would be no escape from the world of the born, originated, created, formed. Since, O monks, there is an unborn, unoriginated, uncreated and unformed, therefore is there an escape from the born, originated, created, formed.” - Buddha

But still, I cannot say for certain that these are the ACTUAL words of the Buddha or Krishna, can you?

.

We know Baha’u’llah teaches the oneness of God.

Now here’s what Buddha says about His return.

And the Blessed One replied: "I am not the first Buddha who came upon earth, nor shall I be the last. In due time another Buddha will arise in the world, a Holy One, a supremely enlightened One, endowed with wisdom in conduct, auspicious, knowing the universe, an incomparable leader of men, a master of angels and mortals.

He will reveal to you the same eternal truths which I have taught you. He will preach his religion, glorious in its origin, glorious at the climax, and glorious at the goal, in the spirit and in the letter. He will proclaim a religious life, wholly perfect and pure; such as I now proclaim." (The Gospel of Buddha)

The key is that the future Buddha will reveal the ‘same eternal truths’ which the Buddha taught. Now IF Baha’u’llah IS that One, the future Buddha, then His Teaching if One God is confirming that that is also what Buddha taught.

Baha’u’llah = Buddha returned taught one God = Buddha taught one God as the future Buddha would reveal the ‘same eternal truths’ the Buddha taught.

So things like reincarnation and statue worship were never what Buddha taught originally. They are the counterfeit Dhamma Buddha said would arise replacing His original teachings with other forms.

“There are prophecies concerning this Manifestation in the Buddhistic books, but they are in symbols and metaphors, and some spiritual conditions are mentioned therein, but the leaders of religion do not understand. They think these prophecies are material things; yet those signs are foreshadowing spiritual occurrences.”

(Tablets of 'Abdu’l-Bahá Abbas", vol. 3 (Chicago: Bahá’í Publishing Society, 1916), p. 565)

Your questions make no sense

“…but just how many Gods are there? One.” - Brihadaranyaka Upanishad (Hindu teaching)"

A relatively modern Hindu tradition (compared to the three older traditions), invites the worship of more than one god including Shiva, Vishnu, Shakti, Ganesha (the elephant god) and Surya (the sun god) among other gods and goddesses.

The Rigveda speaks of Thirty-three gods called the Tridasha (‘Three times ten’). They consisted of the 12 Adityas, the 8 Vasus, the 11 Rudras and the 2 Ashvins. Indra also called Śakra, lord of the gods, is the first of the 33 followed by Agni. Some of these brother gods were invoked in pairs such as Indra-Agni, Mitra-Varuna and Soma-Rudra.

Here are just some of the many Hindu gods and goddesses:
Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Ganapati, Saraswati, Lakshmi, Durga Devi, Indra, Surya, Agni, Hanuman

Avatars of Vishnu
Rama
Krishna
" Krishna’s promise to humanity that he will manifest himself and descend to earth whenever dharma declines has sustained Hindu belief in the Supreme Being over thousands of years."

I can see why mírzá husayn-`alí núri will try and use Krishna for his own benefit

God in Buddhism. Gautama Buddha rejected the existence of a creator deity, refused to endorse many views on creation, and stated that questions on the origin of the world are not ultimately useful for ending suffering.
