How ironic…seeing that Obama divided and dissected this nation along racial, gender, religious, and ethnic lines.

My words were sarcastic and you knew that. Your answer stated you thing I am partisan. I ask, how is it partisan if I preach Church teaching, which happen to be at odds with teh party you are so happy with?

Indeed. And this is the saddest thing of all. A place where a child should feel more protected…more safe…than at any other time in his/her life…and the mother is fighting for the right to dissect the child and have him/her sucked out of the womb. This is horrifying. This is brutal. It is the worst of sins. And this is one of the things that the democratic platform stands for.

Well, along with a corruption of the essence of the creation story. Adam and Steve are now the supporters of the DNC. God will have nothing to do with it. Whenever I hear a Democrat declare "God bless America’ I throw up in my mouth a little. Why would He bless a country, or a political party, that corrupts everything that belongs to God?

I asked myself the same thing. Why I would hear a young priest during the recession say in his homily his answer to the poor is to get a job. I don’t find that to be His answer.

And I have no clue who you’re talking about in regard to being ashamed to list they are Catholic. You must have some inside information of these members which I am not privy to. In any case, I’d say go ahead and cleanse Deacon Lapey along with the young priests. The ones you clean out will go elsewhere and will no longer be in the pews if that’s what you want. And the ones not in the pews much now may feel even further alienated or driven away and unwelcomed. As we all have to answer to God in the end.

This is exactly what I prayed for this morning in adoration–a good leader for our (pro-life conservative) side, a strong, clear voice that doesn’t mince words.

He did? No, the president has been cool and calm while the haters threw everything vile they could find at him: from insults related to his parentage to insults directed at his family. Moral of the story: hate gets nothing good in the end.

I’ve heard Arch Bishop Fulton Sheen quoted this past year more than ever in my lifetime, Praise God! He got it right. What is you opinion of him? I guess he was a partisan too…

The deacons coming out and being ordained these days are preaching the whole truth, and lately many priests and bishops are getting the strong message of truth out. I would like nothing more than to sit and hear my pastor preach Church truths every weekend, as of now every time there is a “hard” subject to preach on it is my turn to preach. I’m okay with that, but it should be the priest.

The Democrat Party has left the Church; it is past time for the Church to leave the Democrat Party. We are Catholics before we are rep or dem, we are Catholic before we are conservative or liberal. The Catholic Church is truth because the Truth is the Head of Her, conform you will to Him and you too will see the light.

Deacon, while you and your associates are cleaning, ask yourselves how you expect the ones you clean away to see the light if they are no longer in the pews? Once you cleanse them away, you’ll have less impact on their lives than if you hadn’t given up on them. Keep them around and only the Lord knows what He might do for their hearts in time. I wish you well.

Abortion, gay marriage, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research are abominations in God’s eyes. If there is anything ideological about them, it is the Democrat’s religious adherence to defending them as human rights.

There have always been extremists on both sides, what is different here IMO, is the mainstreaming and the seeming acceptance of vile behavior and speech. Give John McCain that, in 2008 he refused to stoop or to accept this, even at the cost of losing.

Why did God have Israel wander the desert for 40 years when the promised land was only a couple of hundred miles away from Egypt? Maybe the current generations of Catholics are intractable. Maybe they will never submit to the Truth, so they need to be tossed out into the wilderness so the new generation enters the promised land and submits to the Truth as God has revealed it.

Any form of hatred of human beings is an abomination to God and He particularly hates hypocrisy. What were we warned of in the last days? Men who are lovers of themselves, with no regard for God or others. In whatever way that manifests itself, that’s an abomination. So to consider hooking up with heretics who impugn the character and nature of God Himself, while pointing fingers at the misguided…that’s not something I can wrap my head around.

Yes and I know God let some walk away in Jn 6. But no one cleansing your church to my knowledge is God. None of us walk on water.
